Winner of our Mana Cup and coach of the year goes to Kieran for coaching the girls football team! Kieran understands that it's more than just a game and that the impact coaches have goes further than what happens on the field. Thank you for attending our Sports Celebration last night. We hope you all enjoyed the night as much as we did! Congratulations again to our Sportspeople of the year Charlotte Dugmore (Bronze), Tayla Faulkner (Silver) and Romy Carter (Gold) and all our nominees, Abby Cowie, Brian Parado, Lilly McDowell and Toby Skelton.

Also a huge well done to everyone who got up there and made a speech about their season. It’s a tough job but you did us proud and spoke with confidence!

Students Caitlyn, Claire and Tayla are involved in the 2.3 Health Promotion Assessment and have made a video based on promoting a healthy lifestyle following the survey they previously sent out to the community! Listen their kōrero and see if any of the tips strike a chord with you Support them by watching their video and providing feedback and support in the comments.

ASHS WIN OF THE WEEK!! Netball team 1 went into the last quarter 4 points behind and ended up winning by 3 points! Coach Kelly said “This is a huge turnaround of 7 whilst under immense pressure. I know I said this after the game but it’s worth saying again, you should all be so proud of yourselves. Doing exactly as you were asked and doing it very well, got you that result” Well done Team 1! All that training is paying off!

Word on the street is there are girls interested in Lacrosse for 2024, awesome! Need a big squad so please register your interest asap. Link in story and bio or check our website.

Thanks to FIFA Women’s World Cup organisers who supported our school with free tickets for our students and their whānau to go enjoy the game on Sunday night! The atmosphere was electric! ⚡️
