I just had to share this spectacular Heli wedding day !
After heavy snow across the Wakatipu basin I was truly privileged to be performing a “dream wedding”for Vanessa and Josh ! There was so much snow everywhere! It was one unforgettable day ! Just loved my office today ! from Lochnagar to Soho basin to the ledge on Cecil Peak we found beautiful untouched powder and magnificent views everywhere! A big congratulations to Vanessa and Joshua and big thanks to and for an amazing day ❤️❤️❤️

Happy Autumn everyone.

For those of you who don't know me I am Tracey Maclaren a Celebrant and long term resident of Arrowtown & Queenstown.

I love my role as Celebrant , so privileged to perform ceremonies for couples in the this beautiful part of NZ. We are so spoilt wiht many beautiful locations to be married.

I reside in Arrowtown and am spoilt with the Autumn colour at present. In my opinion the best season to be married here.

The service you put together for us was simply wonderful and we will treasure you and your efforts as long as we live. We both felt an instant connection to you and your amazing spirit and we were so very lucky to have you as part of our most important day. Thank you.

Todays Heli wedding took me to Coromandel peak , Lochnagar and Tindal glacier with the ceremony on the peak looking over Lake Wānaka and Mt Aspiring ! I had to laugh at our two very engaged witnesses who sat quietly through the ceremony ! Perfect guests ! Baa haaa! Then we were treated to a heli picnic at Beautiful lochnagar ! A yummy lunch thank you and a big congratulations to Claudio and Alicia and of course and for co ordinating such a fabulous day !

Such a fabulous day today for Jolene and Kade on Coromandel peak ! They travelled all the way from the USA and with their love of LOTR and fantasy they found heaven today ! Such a fun couple ❤️😍 I loved playing my part in their special day !

Such beautiful red roses really lifted the spirits of this delightful couple ! Red roses mean passion, love, beauty, joy and luck ! Well they did bring good luck as the day was spectacular! Blue skies, sunshine, fresh snow, warm temperatures, it couldn’t have been better for Leiticia and Adam all the way from Port Headland in WA ! They almost called the day off due to some distressing news earlier in the day but they went ahead and the red roses worked their magic and all was well !

This was a beautiful intimate family wedding, Chloe and Kenric embraced the cold and looked amazing ! Lots of fun, and the Chapel at Stoneridge at lake Hayes was perfect for their small family wedding and Heli Weddings NZ worked their magic with the Heli photos ! It is never easy saying goodbye to a dear friend, in my case my fur child " Ruby" after 14.5 wonderful years she has brought me so much joy, and unconditional love.

Even as I celebrant I too feel the pain and loss but look for words to comfort and these beautiful words spoke to me .....

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this — the last battle — can’t be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don’t let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.

We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn’t want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where to my needs they’ll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don’t grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We’ve been so close — we two — these years,
Don’t let your heart hold any tears.
