Excited to be back for the season at our regular spot in The Ashburton Domain Layby Friday - Monday!

But the excitement doesn't end there, you can also find us parked up at the final two nights of Christchurch Illuminate Thursday and Friday nights, the Mt Hutt Chill Fest Rail Jam in Methven on Saturday Night and the Ashburton Market Day on Monday 🍦

Job Title: Casual Real Fruit Ice Cream Server

Location: The Hive Ice Cream Trailer - Ashburton Domain Layby + attending occasional events

Position Type: Casual, 2 - 3 Positions Available

Job Description:
The Hive Ice Cream Trailer is seeking two or three enthusiastic and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Casual Real Fruit Ice Cream Servers. If you're a student looking for a summer job and enjoy serving delicious treats while engaging in meaningful conversations with customers, this role is perfect for you!

Responsibilities:

- Serve our signature Real Fruit Ice Creams to our valued customers.
- Engage in friendly and genuine conversations with customers, making their experience memorable.
-Work independently with minimal supervision to ensure smooth operations.
- Restock the trailer and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
- Operate our point of sale (POS) software to process orders and payments.
- Be open to learning and taking on various tasks as needed.
- Show initiative and contribute to the overall success of The Hive.

Skills Required:

- Excellent customer service skills.
- Confident and approachable when interacting with customers.
- Possession of a restricted or full NZ driver's licence and the confidence to tow a trailer (or be willing to learn to) is a huge benefit.
- Fast-paced, adaptable, and excited to work in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different roles within the trailer.
- Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently.

Days/Hours

- 2-5 (Flexible) days per week - 7-8 hour shifts, ideal for students or those seeking a part-time summer job.
- The position will be during our ice cream season beginning September 2024 through to the end of February/March 2025. Evening & weekend shifts during school term and weekdays & weekend shifts during the school holidays.
- Must be available to work weekends.
