and Silk Estate Marquee Events & Weddings have joined forces, creating a team that aims to raise $1000 while getting a bit of pre season training in before the wedding and event season kicks into gear in spring!

⭐Kate will be running 97km the distance from Mt Hutt to Christchurch Hospital and Back to Base.
⭐Jason & Stephanie will be cycling 155km the distance from Timaru Hospital to Christchurch Hospital and Back to Base.

About last night at the Awards sponsored by Youngman Richardson & Co. Ltd. 🥂

We were shocked and delighted to be awarded the Health & Safety Award, the Most Improved / Progressive Company Award...and the big one...Party & Events Company of the Year!

We entered the Awards to reflect, critique and celebrate our first 18mths in ownership of Silk Estate, and drill down on that journey with our team.

That alone was incredibly valuable and rewarding but to have the judges visit on the back of our Apex Accredited Audit sucess, took the process up another level.

Bill McEntee, Wayne Hood and Grant Lowe are original trailblazers of the hire industry and to share our story with them and talk about the challenges and opportunities we face within the premium marquee event landscape was an honour.

The Party & Events members at HIANZ can take credit for giving us the courage to enter the awards this year. Every single person we have met has welcomed us with open arms, shared their knowledge with us and given us the confidence to stay on our path without faltering to the internal and external noise that comes with being a business owner.

Silk Estate has evolved as a specialised division of Peter May Marquee and Event Hire. If you have already made a booking with us, you’ll simply notice a change of branding on our communication but you can still expect the same great service and attention to detail from Silk Estate – Marquee Weddings by Toni May. If our opening hours do not suit just ask to make an appointment outside business hours.
