StageAntics presents Legally Blonde JR on October 11th and 12th

Legally Blonde Jr. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle’s boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she’s not serious enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren’t mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.

And OMG we are having a special V.I.Pink!!! FRIDAY night on Friday 11th October at 7pm!

Our V.I.Pink audience should wear their favourite pink outfit, and perhaps to win some prizes!

The show runs for approximately 1 hr 10 mins, with no intermission.

But there is the ability to purchase refreshments and nibbles before the show.

See you all there!

🎤Fresh off his performances in Wellington and his award winning show in Dunedin (best at fringe, best musical), Charles N Charles is excited to perform for the Auckland fringe festival - The Factory Theatre (14 Sep 2024).🎤

The Pre Conditioned Hori is Charles N Charge's consciously raw hip hop musical stage show to life, through his lived experiences and passion for kaupapa hip hop. Delivered through his original pieces of rap music, spoken word poetry and interludes from his own EP collection, CnC tells a familiar story of life growing up in Aotearoa from someone who has struggled with identity, culture and the many stereotypes sometimes placed upon us as urban Maori.

Cabaret Coven present Bowie vs Queen on Friday, September 13th

Feeling under pressure? We’ve got just the ticket! The Cabaret Coven is back again and this time, we will rock you with sound and vision!

Fresh from our Marvel vs. DC nerdlesque extravaganza, we’re returning to The Factory to bring you a tribute to iconic acts David Bowie and Queen. This show will bring you glittery, unique, gender-bending acts covering a range of art forms, all inspired by- and featuring the music of- these fabulous artists. The lineup is still to be finalised, but to give you an idea of what to expect our previous shows have featured creative, storytelling burlesque, drag, aerials and pole.

The Cabaret Coven creates space for up-and-coming performers to get stage time, as well as connect with experienced showfolk. We put on the shows we want to see- with performers of all ages and gender identities, doing acts that tell a story or take you on a journey. We’re here to hold space for the weird and wonderful, from neo burlesque to drag kings to circus strangeness. This isn’t your classic Dita Von Teese cabaret, but with Bowie and Queen as inspirations you can definitely expect a good dose of glamour.

With a lineup of fabulous cabaret talent from around the motu, best dressed competition, and music from two of the greats, this is an R18 night of guaranteed shenanigans not to be missed.

improvised. Imagine going to the theatre to see
Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors but it was
completely improvised! You get it, it’s nuts!
