Tāua | Us
We're grateful to have won 2nd place for Presenters Choice in the Department of Conservation competition "Rangatahi mo Papatūānuku." 💚

Tāua is an original poem I wrote in 2016 about the Maori worldview of earth mother and sky father - what their seperation meant for life and what they feel from their perspective. I've had this poem performed many times by friends but this was the first time I got to perform it with my own whaiāipo (love), my fiancè Hines. May we all treat the whenua better in respect for its tangata as manuhiri and preserve it for our children.

I remember seeing this quote in 2017 when I wasn't too sure what I was passionate about. When I returned home from my mission I spent hours fascinated by what videographers and cinematographers could do to capture tender moments for families and friends. I too wanted to give something people could keep, cherish forever and play over and over again. The desire became a passion and the passion has become a calling. I'm so happy to share my business AILINA FILMS, named after my late and great grandmother. Like its namesake, Ailina Films aims to provide graceful service, content and reality to the visions you and your loved ones have, no matter what it may be...and to just have fun in the process 😊
