Wow time flies when you're having fun! Last Friday we announced the winner of the June Employee of the month - only this month it was a tie. Ops Manager, Tim Holt, and Warehouse Legend, Bob McCloughen, were voted by their co-workers as having made the most valuable contributions.

Votes for Tim mentioned his "willingness to tackle the difficult conversations to get the job done" and gratitude "for sorting out new cleaners".

Bob was recognised for his "accuracy in storing stock" and "for taking on extra cleaning duties even when he is not rostered for them". It seems we have a common theme... nobody likes cleaning and is grateful when someone get's it done!

Tim spun himself up a $50 gift voucher. Bob was away so Quinn spun the wheel on his behalf and Bob will get a bottle of his favourite tipple.

Our Project Delivery Supervisor Ken gets round in the course of a day.

After applying new decals to a red bull chiller he delivered it to the F&P lunchroom.

Then it was back to the warehouse to oversee the repaint of a trade show stand before heading out the other side of town to collect the Kapiti Caravan from the NZ Fine Food Expo.

Ken is quite literally is a driving force in getting our clients' brands in front of their target audience... at this rate we may have to swap out his high-viz vest for a cape and tights!

We took a few of the team along to the NZ Fine Foods Expo at Auckland Showgrounds yesterday.

We were there to support our clients that were exhibiting and to check out the latest products (loved the new gluten-free biscuits on the Griffin's stand) and the latest display hardware.

One of our favourite stands was Emma-Janes Foodservice NZ as they had put a lot of effort into creating an eye-catching display which included hand-crafted croque en bouche made from their own products and 3D clouds.

We also thought the Monin stand was very smart.

So much inspiration... and so much to sample (some of us regretted having lunch first).

We help a lot of businesses to keep their assets in Tip Top condition. We gave this container store a birthday including a full repaint, internal refurbishment and chiller service (see top photo. The bottom pic is an older version that shows how it looks in action).

The work was completed onsite at Hamilton Gardens in time for the Matariki celebrations. At this time of year they only open weekends and holidays but over summer it's open 7 Days a week and by the end of season it looks pretty tired.

We manage the R&M on their entire fleet of caravans and pop up stores.

We've opened a new dedicated warehouse in Christchurch. Located in the newly developed Waimakariri Park, it's an ultra modern, highly secure setup with up 1,000 cubic metre capacity.

Warehouse Manager, Sebastian Optiz, has had a busy couple of weeks overseeing installation of the new racking and organising the stock.

Using the newly upgraded Mobilisar 2.0, he and our clients can see exactly how much of each item is in stock and where it's positioned in the warehouse. There's a lot going on but there is a master plan!

Congratulations to Shyla who won ‘Brandspec Employee of the Month’. What makes the award extra special is that the winner is decided by the entire team. Everyone is asked to nominate the person they think is most deserving and to explain why they deserve recognition.

Shyla got 25% of the votes and reasons included… “she consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that we have each other’s backs”, and that “she’s always willing to help although she has a lot on”.

There was lots of other positive feedback but what it really adds up to is that her workmates appreciate what a team player Shyla is.

We celebrated her success with a team lunch and donuts. Mmmmm… lots and lots of yummy donuts.

So what did she win? Shyla spun the prize wheel and landed on a late start. Congrats Shyla, we hope you enjoy the well-earned lie in when you choose to use it.

If you’ve got kids or grandkids, chances are they could tell you who MrBeast is. Jimmy Donaldson, aka ‘MrBeast,’ rocketed to fame in 2017 after a video of him counting to 100,000 went viral. From there, he launched several platforms and later developed a range of chocolate that his YouTube audience of 403 MILLION literally ate up! He’s become quite the philanthropist and uses his profits to promote a range of causes.

His “Mr Feastibles’ 60g bar of chocolate, which recently launched into NZ, is made from 100% Fairtrade Certified Cocoa and uses organic products.
