our story
Kaleidoscope was started back in 2008 by Fozia Yusuf, who is the Director of the company. As the company has grown we have a new Co Owner Leena Pal (2018). Little Black Dress or LBD as it is lovingly called was the very first show under the colobration with Kaleidoscope banner. This successful charity show for SPCA New Zealand put the company in limelight and was noticed by the who’s who in the industry. Keeping the charity trend going, we produced another charity show for the Christchurch earthquake victims. Hence aptly named Fashion for Quake. Some well-known local designers like Annah Stretton, Andrea Moore, Michelle Yvette, Frank Casey, Brave and Zambesi, showcased at this event. All proceeds from the show were donated to the victims and we hope that we helped at-least one family in need. Keeping the legacy going, we hosted LBD2 at the Generator, where we featured in A- list, one of the top fashion magazines in New Zealand. We were rated 10/10 for this show, which we are very proud of. With the teams background in coaching and choreographing, we leveraged this and coached teenagers at the Miss and Master Teen India beauty pageant. Kaleidoscope was also responsible for choreographing the entire event. Kaleidoscope also boasts of being one of the few if not the only fashion event company to run 7 fashion shows in one night at 7 different locations on live music. The amazingly creative head for Kaleidoscope, Fozia, christened it Street Beat. Not only was this an eye-catching event, but also one of the main attractions to the First Thursday event. Following this, we successfully organised our next show at the BizDojo, which was called Candy Land. As the name suggests, this was a Candy Land themed fashion show, where the designers brought their sweet tooth to life through their designs. Wanting to contribute to the community, we ran another hugely successful charity event called Kickass Women, for the North Shore Women’s Refuge Centre. Our last show, Summer Breeze held at The Wi******er, was well received. This event has helped us not only taking our shows to the next level, but also culminate the idea of indo western-bridal event in conjunction with Indian Weekender Held at the cloud 7th April 2018. This event is KFE’s Yearly event which includes everything bridal for that special day, including bridal fashion shows, bridal dress designers, bridal makeup artists, bridal hair stylists, etc. The event is held on April every year. Apart from running successful fashion shows, our company provides a platform for new designers, artists and models to showcase their creativity, we do product launch events for companies. We give new designers and opportunity to display their talent amongst the industry crowd. We recruit new models, make-up artist, photographers and videographers to work with our company. This works as a gateway in the New Zealand fashion and media industry to get you noticed and grow.
