ALL Cancelled...

Except for US

During our first event of the day, I met the client when we arrived at their venue. And she told me that everything has been canceled out from the face painting and magicians due to the weather and we're the only ones left that still came through with their booking.

It is a very special day for her little one as it's the First Birthday Party. And we can't say no to this event though the weather is extremely horrible. We're just dancing in the Rain.

If you're confused about your calling to do in business, ask yourself a question what breaks your heart?

Because usually what breaks your heart is the one that you're called to do.

It breaks my heart to see especially kids without any balloons or decorations at their birthday celebration as most of the kids have their preference for the designs as well and they have expectations. 💔

We're so glad that we were able to make it happen by adding colors in this grey weather and adding extra magic to these decorations.

Shoutout to my awesome team who always worked with me through any weather. You're all amazing and I'm so grateful to be able to work with you no matter how late the pickup time is. Thank you all for your patience and care.

3 Easy Tips for the venue before and after setup:

It's our second time being at Status Restaurant (Vegetarian) in Epsom. Luckily, we're familiar already with the staff and the venue itself and we can easily suggest the backdrops that will fit our client's venue space. It's good if you're familiar already otherwise you can research it as well.

1. We always asked for a photo of our client's venue so we can suggest to them the backdrop that will suit their venue space to make sure that it won't be too small or too big for their venue.

2. Plan your travels WELL, especially if you're doing multiple events in 1 day. Always add the traffic delays, to your timings, parking, and many more delays that you could have thought of so you could avoid those delays for your setup time.

3. Most of our clients are not there yet at their venue but we always make sure to take pictures & videos before we go so they'll know what to expect to see once they arrive at their venue. We also call them to inform them that we're finished before we leave.

After our setup, the most awaited part for us and we still get nervous and excited is the after-event as we will be able to finally meet physically our clients, families, and friends.

To all of our clients, thank you so much for all of your kindness and compliments on each of our creations.

Birthday parties can be a lot of work for parents, but it is also a great time to stop and remember how much you love and appreciate your little one. Birthdays give us parents time to reflect on how far our little one's life journeys passed by like a blink of an eye.

To our dear client Vish, thank you so much for giving us your trust and support in the process of creating these decorations for your little one's special day. We're so grateful for your kindness that you even gave us a glass of coke it relieved our souls from our exhaustion.

The Key to Unlocking a 21st Birthday Celebration 🗝

After asking around with different people and with our clients they say:
-It is a tradition that means giving the person turning 21 a key to their family's house. You were considered old enough to be a key-holder to your family's home and thus hold a symbolic 'senior' position in the family.

-It is considered handing over the key for your future.

-They also said giving the birthday celebrant the key to the family home means that he/she/they are allowed to come and go as he/she/they please.

Now the 21st birthday celebration has no gender. It's not especially just for the boys. It is considered a milestone birthday.

If you are planning to celebrate your 21st birthday party, mark it with the passing down of a key have the main event with enough space for all of your family and friends, and hire for their beautiful table & chair decorations, centerpieces, and more to highlight the handover of the "21st key" and don't forget to have the parents give a speech to the birthday celebrant!

Planning the parties is never easy 🤔💭

I remember before when my husband got very sick and it was our little one's birthday 5 days before the party everything is planned and ready, but I will be the one who needs to do the full setup for the venue.

I'm so stressed and worried that how can I be able to pull this off without my husband. I'm trying to keep it to myself, as I'm used to doing it with him all the time, and this time he won't be even able to go to his little one's birthday due to his sickness.

I talked to one of my team members at the same time as our family member. I'm blessed to have Kuya Lito's help on that day we drive around to pick up the cakes and food, and after preparing the food area, we started to set up the event decoration. It was extremely busy but hey I don't even know how we made it! That is why always take the help that you can get, especially from your family (only if possible) otherwise with your team members or friends.

Cheers to all the parents out there who do all the planning for their little one's special day. It is never easy to do party planning even if you have help or nothing at all, just remember that once the party started it will be all better as it's your little one's special day with you no matter what happens. All these memories will be always remembered by your families, guests, and especially your little one if they look at the photos once they're older.

We've been asked about the difference of baptism and dedication?.

Some clients (not all) asked if they should put baptism or dedication day for their backdrops or signage.

We're no expert or knowledgeable about this, but as far as I know, baptism is usually done by the use of holy water like if you attended ceremonies like Binyagan (Baptism) the parish priest pour a holy water to a little one's head, while the dedication is a christian ceremony where an infant is dedicated to God and welcomed to the church like what we did before for my son. Google nyo na lang guys

We feel blessed already by just having you as our clients who give us trust for creating this decoration for a full of blessing celebration for your little ones.

Miracle in pairs 😇🙏

We hope everyone had a good pair of weekends.?.

Story time with the team (sit back and enjoy only if you have time, hopefully).

Our dear client booked with us 5 days before her event day.
Good thing we still have a slot, especially for the last-minute bookings (let us know), so we have enough time to prepare and gather supplies (please). 😇🙏

It's an easy, breezy day for us, Thank God after a long time, we could have a relaxation day despite having heaps of struggles in between. (Will share it soon?). 💕

We've arrived at the venue and lucky the customers of the playground are all done, finally yes!!! we used to set up here, and most of the time, we need to wait 15 minutes until it's cleared and cleaned/sanitized by the staff. 🧹🧽

When I met our dear client, she was so warm and gentle with us that even her family was so kind to us as well (warm hugs) 🤗, and I just would like to say thank you so much for giving us your full support, trust and confidence, and your kind words really makes a difference to us and it fills our hearts with happiness and inspiration.

Early morning setup as we need to travel again to the next event. Time management is our bestfriend now a days.

I remember before when I got married I wasn't able to have a proper wedding plan or even a well planned decoration. I bought myself a casual dress in blue, not in white for the wedding. As I feel ashamed of my body figure, if I wear white, I got self-pity, most of the time, covered by a smile within me, im blessed with my husband who loves me no matter what shape i got. I also remember that we bought my flowers to a supermarket the same day. Back then, we got married at Manukau wedding registry office it was simple but significant.

That's when I started and was inspired to create different designs for any occasions that I could make it memorable and make it extra special. It always brings joy to my heart every time I see each of my clients smile from their hearts, the hugs and compliments that they give every after their events really fill my heart with gratitude, happiness and a relief that i was able to give my best to provide the best service to each of our clients.

To my beautiful bride client, Eliana, thank you so much for taking time to learn my language - tagalog to express your gratitude and for trusting us to create something special to mark this new journey of your life with your beloved husband. I'm grateful that even with last-minute bookings, I was able to provide you with the wedding decoration that you love. But hey, when we set this up, the neighbour's (human CCTV's) start looking like what's going on to that house. I feel proud. At least they noticed it!. 👀🔎

Plan A & Plan B - You'll never go wrong having either of the 2 or even more if it will work in any weather, and plans should be always achievable and offered to your clients. 2. Know your venues - check if there are any other safe entry points, and if there's a lake beside it but the weather is unexpected even though you have a good venue. Checking is always the best policy. 3. Think about food and drink - your party will always be remembered by your guest if you add beautiful decorations, delicious food, and awesome drinks. Rainbows End Setup Experience 🌈 If you're going to set up in Rainbows End in the Outlook party area (I haven't experienced the other area 😄) here are some of our tips: 1. Make sure to have extra time to look for a car park as it's always FULL. if you got a larger item that you need to bring for that event so the closer to the entrance the better. 2. If unsure especially about the location of the venue inside the Rainbows end you can request your client to meet you in the car park or entrance so she can inform the front staff that you're just getting in to set up so that they'll be aware that you're entering not to party and play but to setup only. 3. The outlook venue area is an OPEN space where winds and weather are going to be the challenge. Make sure that your backdrops or decoration will be well secured find something sturdy like a pole to attach your backdrop or you can also consider putting weights. 4. Power plugs for this venue there are NONE. So go to the nearest shops like Rainbow Factory (thank you so much for these amazing staff). You can safely pump your balloons there. 5. I would highly suggest using a foldable light backdrop like this charactered backdrop as you need to walk there for at least 5 to 10 minutes depending on how fast you can walk. I take a while guys 😆 and if you got a trolley the better. 6. Lastly, when the client asked you to pick up at 4:30 pm if the main entrance is closed (I'm so nervous about this when we arrived) rest assured you can still enter the candy shop beside the main entrance. It will lead you inside as well you won't be lost. Select the date and time 2. Decide on a theme 3. Plan your guestlist to match your venue capacity 4. Hire a venue and a host as it would give extra fun to your party 5. Book extra entertainment like soft plays, magicians, face painters, and more depending on your preference 6. Organize a caterer and also consider the special diet of other guests 7. What machine do we use for printing, cutting, and designing?. @cricut_anz I'm just so relieved that whenever we print, cut, and design - especially for the LAST MINUTE changes or before the event starts, the cricut machine never fails us to create the best designs with precision for our signages. I just need to keep practicing when putting them up with the right height, size, and width. It reminds me of a mothers love of my client to these 2 beautiful kids. It takes a lot of practice to be parents, and still, you won't be able to perfect it. 5 easy steps for setting up a shimmer wall ✨️ (Based on our experience, please do recommend as well if you got any other techniques)😇🙏 This is our first time to use this beautiful shade of color of rose gold shimmers. Our popular selections were gold, pink, and silver. (We do have more colors, too) 1. We always start with our metal stand, and we extend it at least 2m width after putting it up. We prefer it to match our heights. Otherwise, you'll need to use a ladder. 2. We use cable ties to secure our shimmer walls for 7 rows. If you're using a 2m size metal stand, it will vary if you're using 3m. 3. Start your base garland from the top so that when you put your balloons, you have enough height to match the other balloons on each side. 4. Once you have the height that you prefer, you can now secure your shimmers on each side with cable ties, and you can also start to secure your balloons on each side. 5. Do your final checks like if there's missing piece, replace it, and do your final touches by adding flowers, gold leaves, and more. Before: I remember we used to have that 1x shimmer wall that we need to cable tie EACH panels imagine we got 49 pieces of panels!, and the shimmers ALWAYS fall apart as it's only attached to a mini metal rod not even secured. Good thing the new brand of shimmers that we got now is easy to attached like clip ons, and the shimmers are strong and steady. We do love shimmer walls. It adds glam and sparkle to any events. After our event, we got enough time to sit and have lunch with these awesome teams: Kuya lito and Nelson, as we normally just do drive-thru and stay at the car but today is a good day we manage to have a nice lunch for the first time (Umarangkada rin naman paminsan minsan) And because we still got enough time, Nelson had time to make his pose to these beautiful Chinese good luck decors. We pack our stuff and decors getting ready for this setup.
