a lovely space at 72/2 onehunga mall- onehunga- auckland- full of the finest equipment available to humanity- here & now- for all your musical/performance/rehearsal/recording needs room 1 is a performance space situated in onehunga with an audience capacity of approximately 80

room 1 is available for artists to organise any type of performance event- be it music/poetry/theatre/screening/installat

ion/&c &c

room 1 has a selection of equipment available for use by artists performing at the venue- this selection includes-

- a 3000w PA system with the capability of miking up a full band

- 6 vocal microphones

- 6 direct inputs

- 1 bass amp

- a 5 piece drum kit- drummers need only bring snare/cymbals/bassdrum pedal

- 2x guitar combo amps

- 2x Technics 1200sl mk2s + rane 4 channel DJ Mixer

- 1x projector

organise a show at room 1- we will provide the door person & sound technician- the minimum entry charge at the door is $10- at the end of the event room 1 & the performers split the door take 50/50

please note that room 1 is an unlicensed venue- no alcohol is allowed in or around the premises- we can- however- apply for a special licence for 1 day- if your event requires it- but usually need 2 months notice to apply for such a licence

room 1 can also be hired as a practice room & as a recording studio

Well that was just the best Halloween ever even though the Cutie Cuties didn't plat the gig at Neck Of The Woods was plagued by fantastic sound , an awsome turnout of perfectly avid fans and evn some dear people that I knew. Thee Golden Geese wer better than bronze goslings, Lips... superb! and several loose ends were tierd up in a beautiful tangle. Love K'rd!
