🏆 Huge congratulations to our NEW 80kg APEX Muay Thai Champion Sam Parkes. What a crazy fight with a win coming by a massive cut in the third brutal round via elbow. 🩸🥩

🏆 Great win also for the other King in the Ring Champion Arshia Ebadi in the super fight. He brought home a unanimous decision with some powerful weapons 🔪 against the tuff and dangerous ☢️ Jorge.

🔦Originally from Palmerston North's Scorpion Gym and trained by Jason Nicholson, Corey Dunn has moved to Auckland and is currently fighting out of the world famous City Kick Boxing. Corey has smashed the 62kg muay thai ranks wide open with his 4 man win in Wellington in 2020. Against a series of skilled and experienced opponents he brought brutal win, after brutal win, setting the Wellington crowd on fire, and making fight fans talk long after. At the time covid prevented the answering of the question on everybody’s minds – was this THE new guy to watch, is he THE new up and coming champ? Well now fight fans have another opportunity to judge.

🔦 But of course he’s up against the other young up and coming fighter who has audiences asking the same questions! This is a great match up 👏. Fighting out of Hamilton’s powerhouse muay thai gym Tihipuke Muay Thai and trained by Darryl Dawson, Ale Tellez is a fighter scared of no challenge. He has a clinical and aggressive muay thai style that is punishing. He recently destroyed his capable opponent on Master Sifu Philip Lambs show highlighting his intentions and abilities. Tellez also loves elbows and going toe-to-toe thrilling audiences - a true spectacle.

🚨 Semi-final #2 brings Tauamo Mandela Ale back to the APEX 💪 Mandela hails from Beyond Muay Thai in West Auckland, a small gym that has a tradition of punching well above its weight, coached by the man himself ⚡️Lee Koloto⚡️. Mandela holds a number of NZ Muay Thai titles and has had semi final appearances in King in the Ring. He knocked out 💥🥊 NZ fight fan favorite pro fighter Hayden Todd at Art of War - a true testament to this mans skills and dangerous power 😮‍💨! With that notch in his belt, Mandella has earn’t his place in the top 4 and could be the 80kg APEX Warrior. He will have his westside fans on the edge of their seats next Saturday night and they wait to see if his explosive power will work its magic.

🛑 But contender #4, while new to the APEX arena, comes from a gym storming the current fight scene - Kings Academy! Coach Vahid Unesi has developed a young and hungry team of talented fighters that are dead set on making their collective mark in to the NZ scene. Elijah Taufuiaevalu is one of the powerhouses of the current movement and has had a number of wins and impressive performances leading up to this fight. These have included a close loss to Nate Law in a King in the Ring super fight and a number of wins most notably the devastating head kick KO 🦵💥 at Art of War! With his skills in both the kicking and boxing game, Elijah is a dangerous fighter that would be foolish to underestimate. He is the underdog - and he IS dangerous!

Semi final # 1 will have fight fans talking….

Chris the “Cobra”Eades 🐍 is coming off a close lose to Mark Timms from CKB in a decision his coach says was “boarderline” 👀. Nonetheless, Coach Greg Nesbit at the Northshore’s Urban Sport gym say’s he is just starting to hit his straps and cant wait to see him back in the ring. “After his lose against Timms, Chris has told me that he aint in the mood to dance… Well actually Chris didnt say that, he doesnt say much, he mainly talks to me by hitting the pads… and well… as I said, he aint in the mood to dance!” 🕺

His last APEX outing only lasted 30 seconds with the brutal knockout of hard man Deej Edwards. Chris is looking to take both the Apex Muay Thai Warrior title and the KITR kick boxing title THIS year, and launch from there 🚀

Nate Law though is also amping up ⚡️! He’s climbing up the ranks and is the next young thing in the 80kgs weight class. He’s a tall AF southpaw powerhouse. 💥 He applies himself to combat sports like a professional - 💯 commitment, taking all the fights he should, growing from every one…. and it’s been noted! Last APEX show he beat the more experienced Tahuri Taniwha in a cracker of rumble. Now he’s seeking a significant challenge to make his mark! Chris’s scalp would be major and by the looks of things he wants it bad! Trained by UFC star 💫 Dan Ho**er at Combat Academy he understands well what it’s going to take to slay the cobra 🐍
