Leafy Hollow Lavender

Leafy Hollow will be open on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th, 11am till 4pm. Harvesting and distillation is ongoing now but there are still areas of lavender in full flower. If we are distilling you will smell the lavender oil as you walk up the driveway. Last weekend I had an unexpected visit from Ian Wilson, Garden Designer. He has a You Tube Channel and spent quite some time here asking questions and taking photos.

After many years of making such an excellent job of hosting our website, Inga from Anuko Websites has retired. This prompted me to take a fresh look at the way Leafy Hollow is evolving and adapting to change. I built this website to reflect these changes. There are still a couple of glitches to resolve but, on the whole, I am pleased with the result. I aim to produce a monthly newsletter so please subscribe if you would like to receive regular news and updates.

I've loved meeting new visitors over the Christmas period. The garden and shop will next be open Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th January. Happy new year to all our 'followers'. I just captured this rainbow moment - hope for a peaceful 2025?

Fabulous festive workshop last week - harvesting, distilling and creating a fragrant room spray + lots of party food. We welcomed an array of unusual characters from Little Miss Sunshine, Santa, Fred Dagg to Elsa and many more.

We are open today, Saturday 14th, from 11am till 4pm. Tomorrow morning there is an Art Workshop here so will only be open from1pm till 4pm.

Leafy Hollow Garden is closed today, 7th December. You will find us at the Waiuku Christmas Market on Bowen Street from 4pm. Open again tomorrow from 11am till 4pm.
Fingers crossed for a fine, wind-free day. This will be my first time using a gazebo 🪂🙃 instead of the trusty, trailer stall !!!!!

I think there are still a few spaces available. This year all profit from Flora Fest will go to Garden to Table Trust. This a charitable organization that assists schools to involve children in growing, harvesting and, ultimately, eating their own food.

This weekend we will be open on Saturday 9th November, 11am till 4pm. Vanessa and her scrapbooking friends will be using the Gallery/Shop area on Sunday.
The garden is a riot of spring colour right now.
