Was privileged to officiate in a barn wedding recently. So much fun with the couple - and what a fantastic setting it was.

Hay bales for the guests to sit on, and a brilliant colour theme.

Brilliant wedding today, so much fun and super casual about it..

Oh, somewhere down on the Hobsonville Point wharf...

We get there and they decide to use the old boat ramp, great choice it was a fantastic spot!

All they asked for was the basic legals, and if I could bless the rings. Awesome.

Marriage Licence Update:

From April 1st (it's no joke) anyone that applies for a marriage licence by the old system of paper may still use any of the 43 registry offices in NZ.

However....

They will take the statutory declaration you give them and then they will hand the form back to you.

You must then post the completed form with payment to the Department of Internal Affairs.

Three working days after receipt by DIA, the licence will be issued by email or courier.

So, your best bet is to utilise the upgraded online system.

Today’s bride arrived in an Uber...
