I've got seedlings coming out of my ears at the moment, and as I'm carefully watering them I'm dreaming about all the yummy flowers they'll give me this season 😍 I loved Rudbeckia so much last year that I'm growing double the amount this year. These STUUUNNING blooms are a later season flower and should start flowering come January!

Wintery scenes on the flower farm ❄️

I love all the anticipation that comes when you’ve sorted out your seed sowing schedule, finally decided what to grow (and not to grow), and now you’re just tending to the little babies until they flower in the spring 🌱🥰💐 They’ve been tucked up since autumn in their wooly blankets, safe under the netting.

Can’t wait for an abundance of blooms this season!! 🌸🌷🌻🌹

Such a special journey for me to have been able to grow the flowers for this wedding, make the bouquets, then collect them the following day to dry them and make a piece of everlasting art for the bride 🥰 That my flowers will continue to bring someone joy after their life in the field and the vase is so incredibly special!

Working on this piece currently, keep your eyes peeled for the finished thing! 🖼️

It’s that time where I’m starting to think back on what I’ve grown (or tried to!) this year and what direction I want to go in next year. I find this such a fun process, thinking about which colours will work together, which have the best vase life, which season they’ll bloom in etc.

Amongst the flowers that are getting snipped from my list are foxgloves and bells of ireland (these were so hard for me to grow!). I want to grow so much more stock for spring as well as heaps more successions of pennycress (got a shock by how quickly these go through their cycle!).

This all happened in six months. There are about 2000 plants in the field and all of them were started by seed in my laundry room 😅
