Bit behind on posting from all the back to back festivals but maaaaan… Kiwiburn: New Zealand's Regional Burning Man Event with Mint Country Club NZ was on a whole other level!!! Easily twice as good as ANY other festival I’ve EVER been to! Managed to get two sets in; my first ever techno set B2B with the boss lady Caroline Lindsey herself on the brand spanking new sound system at MCC’s Meet The Minters and my Heeeaavy DNB wubs set on Bing Crosby’s art car playing out to the crowd watching the effigy burn on the Saturday night (no photos of that one unfortunately except the burn itself). Can’t wait for next year! Thanks to everyone who made it happen and for letting me “borrow” your photos 😜

Come on down to the Allen Hill clubrooms this weekend to watch Auckland FC take on Macarthur on the big screen!

Kitchen/bar will be open from 4:30pm and kickoff is at 6:00pm. Show your support by bringing all your AFC kit!

Also, one of NSU’s finest Alex Grant, otherwise known as Hossy, will be spinning some tunes in the beer garden beforehand. Make sure you’re there early for some music before the big match!

In case the MCC wasn’t enough the next weekend was the launch of the brand new First Point Electrical premeses… my man Sam Mas Martin has no chill… 😂 smashed out a 7 hour set of Liquid/Jungle slowly winding up through House to some heavy DnB and then boom MC Mas started spitting unscripted raps 🤩🤩🤩 you still got it bro! ❤️ Made my week bro

Since YOUR SHOT started and meeting so many amazing people all bigging each other up on their musical journeys and then the variety of talent at this year’s AUM New Years Festival I’ve fully hit sponge mentality with music… give me a few weeks to sort the business out and organise the office/studio and I’ll start pumping out mixes on Soundcloud. Just spent 6 straight days isolating from Covid in a bedroom and putting together sets/playlists of all manner of genres whilst I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow but I’m on the mend and nearly allowed out again! So far my planned list of sets to record is my Your Shot set, The Atrium (Junglish), Bass for Mums, The Second Shot, Happy House, Double Helix Backflip (Trancey), UK 90s remixes, Keys and Brass, Other Familiar remixes 😉, Grime/HipHoss… even thinking of some Psytrance! 🫨 Don’t worry though, DnB is still my 9 to 5 but I’m exploring my limits first, all part of the journey.
