🌟✨ Happy Matariki, everyone! ✨🌟

It's that time of the year again when we celebrate the beautiful Māori New Year, Matariki!

🌟✨ Matariki, also marks the beginning of a new cycle, a time of reflection, gratitude, and new beginnings.

🌙✨ Let's take a moment to appreciate the magic of Matariki. The twinkling stars in the night sky remind us of the infinite possibilities that lie ahead. It's a time to set new goals, chase our dreams, and let our spirits soar! 🌙✨

Matariki is also a time to honor our ancestors, their wisdom, and the rich cultural heritage they have passed down to us. Let's celebrate the strength and resilience of our Māori culture, and the unique traditions that make us who we are!

So, let's come together as a community and celebrate Matariki in style! Whether it's attending a local festival, indulging in delicious kai (food), or simply stargazing with friends and family, let's make this Matariki a time to remember!

🌟✨ Wishing you all a Matariki filled with joy, love, and endless possibilities! Embrace the magic of this special time and let your spirits shine bright like the stars above!

C H E E S Y C E L E B R A T I O N S

To curb our Friday night cravings, we assembled this cheese platter for our first small post-Covid get together yesterday.

We used assorted cheese- cheddar, brie and herb cream cheese, crackers, cheesy breadsticks, hummus, olives, red peppers, sundried tomato, feta, and 2 different types of hummus to create a fusion of mezze-cheese platter.

Pair this with your favourite wine and voilà - we have a winner! 🥇

P. S. It's always nice to add some fresh grapes and berries to this mix for a well balanced pallette, we wanted to keep it savoury so we skipped it.

Wanna taste? 🧀🌿🍅🍇🥖🍷

What's your favourite food platter?

Hot sand, vibrant colours and fruity flavours define summers, and this is my attempt to capture it on a plate 🌞🏖️🍓🍽️

Kulfi is a delectable dessert of the Indian origin similar to an ice cream, but more dense and creamy. Unlike ice cream, kulfi is not whipped, resulting in a solid, dense frozen dessert similar to traditional custard-based ice cream. Thus, it is sometimes considered a distinct category of frozen dairy-based dessert.

This version is my favourite - Saffron flavoured kulfi served with Jack Daniel blueberry compote and garnished with crunchy blueberry granola😍
