This absolutely resonates with me, being a mama of 2 kitties and having had pets that have passed away. They really are a part of the family and we should honour their memory when they are no longer with us 🐈‍⬛🐾 ❤️

Losing a pet is a deeply emotional experience. For many of us, pets are more than just animals—they are cherished family members, loyal companions, and constant sources of unconditional love. When they pass away, it can feel as if a part of our lives is missing. Holding a memorial service for your pet can be a meaningful way to honour their memory, find closure, and celebrate the joy they brought into your life. Here’s a guide to help you create a heartfelt and personal tribute for your beloved furry friend.

When today’s couple had a tricky situation with their witnesses, the fabulous staff Luxerose Cafe at Parnell stepped in to help! ✍🏼Thank you for being short-notice witnesses, especially when you were so busy in the café. 🙏🏼
(And a big shout out to LuxeRose - I’ve eaten here on many occasion - gorgeous food! And a beautiful location within Parnell Rose Gardens🌹)

Dogs have featured in many a wedding I have officiated. But it’s not often I have a feline “witness”. 😺Gypsy stole the show at her Mum & Dad’s Regsitry Ceremony today! Gotta love a sassy Tortie! 😺Sitting patiently on the legal paperwork (bribed by treats!) until she was ready to “sign”. Was very tempted to smuggle her into my bag…!

Delighted to get this feedback from Nick & Tom. ❤️ Writing a compelling, impactful & personalised ceremony requires lots of questions & active listening so that I can bring their love story to life during the ceremony. Nick & Tom were so much fun to work with, I absolutely loved getting to know them & setting the tone for the rest of their wedding day with their ceremony. 🥂🍾

CONGRATULATIONS NICK & TOM!🥂🍾
I loved writing & officiating your ceremony! From the moment I met these two I understood that laughter was a very important aspect of their relationship! They gave me so much depth of info in their questionnaire (yep, you get a bit of homework if you book a personalised ceremony with me!) so I was able to write a ceremony with humour, romance and playfulness. That captured the essence of who they are. There was a perfect balance of tears and laughter all round! And gentlemen, the vows you wrote for each other were fantastic! 💯 Good job I had a stack of tissues at the ready!
Thanks for entrusting me to tell your story and officiate your big day ❤️

If you use a trained celebrant who is a member of Celebrants Aotearoa you know you are employing a celebrant who is professional, has high standards, puts themselves through ongoing professional development and has a huge network of celebrant colleagues to call upon if an emergency occurs and they can’t officiate your ceremony.
Afterall, you wouldn’t choose an untrained plumber, teacher, electrician, lawyer would you, so why opt for an untrained celebrant?!😉

When you use a Celebrants Aotearoa celebrant, we know you’re getting the best of the best. Why? Because all of our celebrants are bound by our code of ethics and professional standards.

When creating and facilitating ceremonies and rituals, Celebrants Aotearoa celebrants will:

- Maintain a high standard of professional conduct and service
- Work in partnership with their clients, encouraging their participation and ensuring their protection
- Demonstrate social and cultural sensitivity
- Strive to enrich people’s lives and enhance celebrancy in Aotearoa New Zealand
