A place for the community to come together and celebrate what is great about their neighbourhood!
Opened on the 15 November 2014 this multi-purpose facility houses a range of community programmes, spaces for hire and the library. Situated next to picturesque Jack Pringle Park the large glass doors and windows provide lots of natural light and the high ceilings give a real sense of space. Staff are committed to ensuring the facility is a destination hub where the community can come together to learn, grow, have fun and foster real community spirit.
We had so much fun today kicking off our first community activation to celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori and Mahuru Māori! Thank you to the very clever, very talented Hannah Emson for helping us all complete our own little projects, everyone was so proud of their efforts 👏👏👏👏

The Mātauranga Māori research team will be here this Thursday Aug 22nd to help members of the community learn about how to conduct this type of research! There will be two sessions from 11am - 12pm and then again from 3pm - 4pm.

Morena community! 🧡💛 We're very happy to be open to the public from today! The Community Hub space will be following the golden rules of Level 3 & 4. with 2 metres of social distancing between customers, wearing of face masks, and signing in with the Covid Tracer app or the physical slips. We are also encouraging customers to use the front entrance to the library, as the carpark entrance's automatic doors have had a bit of an accident! However, if you do need to use the carpark entrance, you are welcome to. Happy to have you back! -The TAP Community Hub team.
QUIZ UPDATE: Kia Ora Whanau, and Happy Diwali! ✨ We have been absolutely stoked to see our 18 Libraries open this week and have been working with our teams across the region to assist in opening for click and collect processes. Our quiz team have been overrun and playing catch up, so are needing to take a break this week whilst we prep for the coming days and get everything ready. We WILL be back like the terminator next Sunday night, the 14th of November, with our General Knowledge quiz night!
