UPDATE: two hard-fought losses- 13-21 and 18-21 (so close!) means Richard has to go back to work tomorrow, but a fantastic effort and another step up in performance and experience.

22-17 win for Richard Fuller in the first game of this morning’s National Singles.
Richard finished in the top half of his section at the end of play yesterday with two wins and he’s currently marking the second game so progression relies on at least one win this afternoon.

2xW for Richard Fuller this morning in the National Singles. Even Jamie popped his head out for a look😆

A scorcher of a day for Rocky Nook Bowls’ 2024 Christmas Ham tournament today. A record number of entries and teams made for close-fought competition which came right down to the final game of four.

In the end, Steve Clifton, Steve King and Fiona Matheson/Matthew Pickering took home the Xmas hams, with Charlie Devlin, Donna Black and Tomislav Culav winning the chickens and Richard Fuller, Maree Beckett, and Imogen King second runners up.

The presentations were capped off with presentation of a 80th birthday cake to Life Member and Honorary President, Colin Marychurch.

Thanks to the Match Committee for an extremely enjoyable final club comp of the year with a great turn out of new and first year members and a fine feed.

Meri Kirihimete and see you in 2025!
