Love a " you won't believe it, but.." story.. our client Jenny who hired our arch for her wedding day needed pressed flowers for her wedding cake.
Our florist's daughter Kate presses flowers for pictures and came to the rescue.
Now Kate & her wee family have moved to the UK and guess who bought their home, and now has the gardens where some of the pretty flowers on her cake came from?
Yes.. Jenny🩷 So cool!

Brief was for a front facing traditional arrangement reds/ greens...this is when our training & qualifications kick in..
It's relatively easy for anyone with an artistic eye & a good garden to pull together a bunch of pretty flowers that we all love the colours and flowers used.
But more traditional styles for wreaths, funeral bowls and sprays and some event styling require good mechanics and use of scale, form, transition and other elements to complete a design that is pleasing to the eye and doesn't fall apart when moved.
We enjoy our involvement with florist training schools where we regularly have students complete their practical studio hours with us and we have lost count of the number of florists we have trained from start.

Perfect for today's rainy day...a dried flower class! These girls absolutely nailed their designs after choosing the style, flowers & vase they liked. So excited to see them leave with a gorgeous dried arrangement for home & the skills to dry their own flowers and arrange more!
