With a lot of new activity lately, we are taking the chance to introduce ourselves again and say hello!👋
I’m Sam, the Founder and Director of Country Co., a catering company built onsite our dairy farm in the Waikato. Our catering services the Waikato and Tauranga area, offering delicious and beautiful homemade food for groups of all sizes.
Our catering journey began from my passion as a home cook. As my love for the kitchen outgrew providing meals just for the dairy farmer, friends and family, we established a commercial kitchen. After leaving my full time career in AgriCommerce to pursue the kitchen, I’ve grown and continue to grow Country Co. to a reputable and highly trusted catering company, allowing us to cater to a wide range of events, celebrations, corporate workplaces and weddings.
Our philosophy is simple; providing really good food to be shared in the company of really good people. Beautiful homemade food that brings people together. We cherish the connections made over meals, the laughter, joy and warm memories created with those who matter most.
In the earlier days of setting this business up, we began our range with our renowned handcrafted oven gloves. This range has grown to become the largest range in NZ to select from and is the only registered company that uses bamboo in our gloves. As a business owner, I feel it is our responsibility to make choices that mitigate our environmental footprint; Minimising waste, using the best materials, packaging and ingredients we can for the highest sustainability 🌎
We also have an online boutique bakery where gifts and treat boxes can be purchased and sent across the country to service those outside our core delivery areas.
Beyond catering, we are deeply nestled in the rural lifestyle, dairy farming as sharemilkers. Connecting with our community, friends and family is at the heart of what we do.

Our services have had an upgrade!
While our traditional eco boxes are still key to what we do and enabled us to get going, we’ve responded to the continued demand and are so pleased to now be able to offer full service set ups with catering onsite for any of our menus and a whole new hot and cold buffet range with packages per person as well. This has been a goal for some time, and we have been so excited to kick this off with bookings lately.
We’ve invested heavily in a look that gives rustic farmhouse style table set ups that exude warmth and elegance for any event. Dried flower bouquets, wooden platters and serving boards with big beautiful wine barrel oak centreboards.

While our farm is well and truely underway with calving now, the kitchen has also been full steam ahead with catering orders headed out lately. A little strange to have stepped back from the calves this year with the kitchen taking steer, so it was nice to be able to send out some goods in our favourite theme. 🐮🌱

Many of us living rurally are preparing for the busy months of calving on farm. We know first hand how days can be unpredictable, and how evenings can be quickly turned upside down. Not enough hours in the day and hungry tummies needing more than the drive through.
We created our family sized catering for meals and goodies that can be easily frozen to have on hand. While this menu came about with our dairy farming calendar, it is also perfect for new parents and busy schedules.

This is our final fundraiser for the Pink Ribbon Breakfast month for the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation!
Recently, we were very kindly gifted a large amount of product from Tatua Dairy Co. to help us raise funds for our pink ribbon month, so this delivery day will focus on using products from Tatua Dairy Co., with all profits going back to the Foundation.
