Today’s textures in Floom’s Choice Petite were 👌🏻 so proud that we have been able to stick to our local Waikato sourcing of blooms to date. We have some talented growers on our doorstep, I mean look at the colour of these new season chrysanthemums!

How beautiful are these simple marigolds in the morning sun?! Floom loves simple and loves celebrating flowers in their seasonal glory which is why we always have an en masse option on our website. They are perfect for when you want to gift a little something to someone that is not over the top and we think they would make the ideal subscription bunch for flowers in your home for those of you who are a little like me (and Claude Monet!) and must have flowers always and always!

The florist industry typically has a lot of waste. Floom tries it’s best to minimise this at every stage possible. We buy our flowers whenever possible from local growers eliminating the need plastic wrap and rubber bands. We order what we need so there is minimal green waste.
We wet wrap all our flowers in bamboo reusable “paper towels” which you can use as a cleaning cloth at home. The plastic bag around the wet wrap can be popped in your compost bin along with the twine wrapping your flowers. We think a good use of the white paper is letting the kids use it for drawing otherwise this, the tissue paper, our gorgeous tags and the paper bag the flower food comes in can be popped in your recycling. And last but not least our beautiful ribbon from .ribbon.man in Melbourne can be reused when you wrap presents at home 👌🏻

Garden Bounty 👩🏻‍🌾
There’s nothing more satisfying than picking flowers from the garden for a friend. I’ve never been very good with New Years resolutions nor making any profound posts about the year ahead but if there’s anything I hope 2022 can be it’s ‘inspiring.’ I hope that I can be inspired and that these squares here representing Floom can be inspiring to you. If there’s ever a time to pare back life to celebrate the simple things and the seasons it’s now. Here’s to an inspiring 2022 🥂

I had fun today! I love delivery Thursdays and spreading joy through flowers. Pictured is our grande House Bundle. We carefully select the best blooms grown locally each week so that they work well together in an arrangement you create at home or look equally stunning grouped in vases or spread about your home. A love. A birthday. A new life. A thank you. An apology. In joy and in sorrow…
I think one of my favourite things about flowers is they celebrate the human life in all facets.

I loved creating these wedding anniversary flowers, so special that the brides wedding flowers were white peonies. I hope looking at these evoked precious memories of a very special day 10 years ago x
