Mere Street Photography I am a Cambridge-based lifestyle photographer with a passion for capturing your family's magic. It's all a little bit magic, and its all worth preserving.

Capture your family - the incredible and the everyday, the chaos and the calm. Authentic, fun, beautiful images of your family as you really are. These are the sort of photos I always wanted of my own family - the real us, not staged in a studio, but genuine moments of ridiculousness and joy.

What does a Being You session look like? It’s relaxed, it’s fun. We hang out, you love on your special people and do the things that make you happy. That might be reading a story, picking flowers, baking cookies, snuggling on the couch or jumping in a creek (or all of the above). Being You sessions have been designed to give you the space to let those magic moments bubble up to the surface, so I can snap away while you are just doing your thing. It’s really my absolute favourite, and I feel so lucky to share in celebrating and preserving your right now x

Auckland fam! I’ve got time available next Sunday (19th November) for two Being You sessions and would LOVE to see some of my regularly families ❤️

I’m also tentatively planning an Auckland weekend on the 9/10 December, if you’d like to update your photos and make for easy gift ideas ahead of Christmas.

I’m always available for late afternoon/evening sessions in Cambridge too - we are absolutely loving rural life, and the gorgeous light here means 6pm sessions are perfect.

For Mother’s Day this year I was gifted 20 mins with my husband behind the camera and cooperation from my children, to ensure I’m in our family photos too. They change so quickly, I can’t believe how big these guys are these days - and I will treasure these forever. I’m now booking Cambridge/wider-Waikato based sessions, if you need to get in the photos too x

Hey there everyone, it's been a while!

I just wanted to take a moment to explain my absence from my little photography business over the last year or so. Between moving cities (again), a full-time role at work, a devastating bereavement, juggling our family's needs, and just feeling a bit overwhelmed by life in general, I had to take a step back and focus on what was directly in front of me.

All of that being said, I'm finally coming out the other side of the chaos. I have dearly missed the creativity photography allows me, and the opportunity to connect with my amazing regular families! That's why I'm excited to announce that I'm planning to reinvigorate Mere Street Photography this year with structured, allocated time for sessions that fit in with my life and yours!

Over the next three months, I'll be booking sessions in Waikato, Auckland, and Wellington, and I hope you'll get in touch if you'd like to schedule a shoot with me. I'm so excited to get back in the swing of things and capture some magic memories and moments with all of you. I've just relaunched my website (www.merestreetphotography.com) and will be staying in better touch here on FB and Instagram.

Our lovely home here in Wellington is on the market ❤️ we are heading North to the Waikato at the end of the year, on a new family adventure. It will mean my Auckland families will see me much more regularly, and I’ll still be making visits back to Welly for my wonderful clients here too - plus I’m excited to meet new faces in our soon-to-be new Waikato community x

The Bodley's Being You session

While I was in Auckland in July I spent a gorgeous winters afternoon with the Bodley's <3 I've had the pleasure of photographing them before, and its always a little daunting as Coralie is an amazing family and wedding photographer and I absolutely adore her work (please pop over and visit her page, Coraliebee Photography). She too has a heart for authentic, doco-style moments and so I was super excited to capture her beautiful family just as they are. I wanted to share a slideshow of some of my favourite images from our time together, because it shows that you don't need to be "on" for a family photo session. In fact, its better if you just relax and let everything be. You just need to be present, with your best people. The rest will come together and you'll have a lovely representation of life right now. Thank you Bodley family for trusting me to preserve this preciousness.
