Last Christmas the Linwood Resource Centre was closed but Charlie Hulbert opened the Menz Shed anyway during the non-stat days. He sensed it was needed. He told the guys, no power tools, just hand tools, come along have a cuppa. And four men who were alone at home did.

Christchurch City Mission is proud to be the charity partner of The Christchurch Food Show 2024.

Add a $3 donation to Christchurch City Mission when purchasing your tickets to add your support to the amazing work they do in your community. And make sure you pay them a visit at the Thrive Community and Catering stand at the show (stand A09).

All leftover food from the show will be donated to Christchurch City Mission.

This afternoon at Thrive Community Café, we had a lovely group of ladies from Diana Isaac Village come in for afternoon tea. The ladies had a lovely time catching up on Christchurch City Mission news with the staff.

Our cabinets are full of delicious delights today. An oaty caramel slice & caramel square, mini carrot cakes, as well as a selection of our amazing pies. Yum!

We have a part time cafe/catering assistant position available at our new Thrive Community Cafe.
Applicants will need to have barista experience, fabulous customer service skills, a full drivers licence and be prepared to work in a busy, but fun environment.
