Last weekend the beautiful Keely from Canterbury won the International Rose of Tralee

How stunning did she look on the night!

We had the honour of supplying “The Jasmine” wall for the regional pageant held at the Commodore Hotel earlier in the year. Congratulations Keely you did absolutely amazing, and thank you to Christchurch Irish Society for enlisting us for styling on the night, we look forward to working with you again when you host the next International Rose of Tralee 🌹

With recently hitting our milestone of 1000 likes and our first year in business we thought what better way to reintroduce ourselves to our newest followers

We are Ben and Ashley - 2 fun loving lighthearted people who created Ivy Black Events in 2023.
We are North Canterbury based servicing Canterbury and south-island wide.
Primarily specialising in birthdays we also love to dip our toes into the wedding scene occasionally.

We started this business from the ground up in our home garage and have slowly but surely built it to be one of the largest event companies for birthdays and events in North Canterbury.

We absolutely love doing what we do and as you can tell by this photo never take life seriously.

Behind the balloons and confetti we are your average every day family trying to put that sparkle upon your day.
Ben works in civil construction and a volunteer firefighter.
Ashley works in the public sector and full time balloon blower in the weekends.

Thank you all for your support along the way we have loved every minute of party planning and set ups and super excited to see where the next 12months takes us

This is a shout-out to the mums and dads that pull it off for their kids.

This weekend we were privileged to decorate and style a 21st and 20th all organised and arranged by their parents.

The love we see every day with parents contacting us because they want the best for kids and to enjoy those special moments warms our hearts.

This is the reason why we are in this industry, we love being able to bring visons to life and creating beautiful backdrops with garlands and lighting.
