Whenever we get told the Ring Bearer or the Flower Girl is younger than three, we do a full game plan on how we can best make things go smoothly.

We practice with them. We don't put real rings on the pillows. We find out who their favourite person is in the ceremony - parent/sibling/uncle/aunt to keep them company. Can they be bribed with lollies? Do we give them a mission? Do we put their favourite stuff toy or parent at the end of the aisle?

But when the time comes, it's still gonna be entirely up to the child. Are they gonna bolt out the front door? Are they gonna burst into tears and start screaming? Or are they gonna be too precious for words?

Whatever they choose to do on the day, we let kids be kids and go with the flow. Flower Girls and Ringbearers are such a sweet way to incorporate young children into your wedding.
