I had a glorious wedding in Methven today for an elderly couple. The view behind me was stunning and it couldn't have been a nicer day. Birds were chirping and the wee lambs were adorable,🐑❤️. The bride had decorated the venue with her handmade quilts, which were beautiful, but also covered up some superfluous items.

When you invite me to be your celebrant it comes with years of experience, lots of empathy for your individual situation, a good dose of laughter and plenty of love ❤ . At our first meeting I spend time getting to know you and I ask questions that you may not have thought of previously. Many people don't realise that having a great celebrant is invaluable and can make your ceremony extra special. We need time to get to know you so we can write you a beautiful personalized ceremony. Had you thought about the three pieces of music? Ring Bearer? Do you want someone to do a reading or poem? 2 witnesses? I then leave you with some home work to do that includes deeper questions that will give me the essence of who you are. Questions like; Tell me your love story, or what does your partner do that winds you up, or what makes you work as a couple, what would your partner say is their biggest pet peeve about you? Let me know if you would like me to be there for your big day!

For the last year I have been creating my own slice of paradise in my backyard. One year ago I moved from the country to the city and have been busy getting my courtyard "wedding ready". The Meaning of the Yellow Rose

Yellow roses are often given to loved ones as a way to bring joy and cheer. Due to the yellow rose’s bright color, many attribute it to the warmth of a sunny day, and rightfully so. It’s an absolute beauty to behold, bringing happiness to all who receive it.

Furthermore, yellow roses are said to symbolize friendship. They are widely-used to cheer up friends and relatives or to simply express your heartfelt appreciation for someone.

But did you know that yellow roses weren’t always regarded this way? Quite the opposite, in fact. Ages ago, people looked at yellow roses as a sign of jealousy. If you were to receive this rose back in olden times, it was likely as an expression of frustration and jealous intent.

My, how things have changed! Today, we give the yellow rose to express a joyous occasion, like a graduation or celebration. They are also a great way to send someone off on a long journey as a way of wishing them well on their journeys.

So powerful are yellow roses that they make a great combination with red roses. If you want to let someone know that you not only love them but also that you value their companionship, you might consider gifting them with a stunning arrangement of red and yellow roses. 💐

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Kelly who got married last weekend! I have been doing a few weddings lately which is always so cool to be a part of!

Recently I had the pleasure of being the celebrant for a 30 year wedding anniversary vow renewal for the most loving, kind and family orientated couple I have ever met! We incorporated a sand ceremony so we could include the children and their partners. Bride and groom placed their sand in first to represent the strong foundation of the family, then the children layered colours, and finally I filled it with white sand to represent universal love. ❤
