VENUE HIRE
Altiora is a flexible, contemporary space that is perfect for performance, receptions, launches, business events, networking, concerts, workshops and more.

What is now called Altiora once served as a gymnasium, assembly hall and theatre for Christchurch Boys’ High, which was housed in the neighbouring building. Built in 1908 with Gothic Revival hallmarks, heritage elements such as the skylight, wooden floors and exposed brick provide atmosphere in the interior. Today, Altiora is home to circus and physical arts organisation, Cirko Kali. There is a bar open for refreshments.

*Classes starting next week at Altiora*

CONTEMPORARY DANCE Saturdays 9:30am-10:30am.

Meet the tutors: ANU KHAPUNG
Anu's style of dancing fuses her many influences - traditional dance from her native Nepal, the hip hop she discovered when she first moved to New Zealand, and the ballet she studies at Unitec in Auckland, where she attained a Bachelor in Performing and Screen Arts (Contemporary Dance). She was a core dancer for Footnote Dance Company and recently performed in BELLE with Movement of the Human. Anu grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal, before moving to New Zealand in her early teens. She’s curious about everything and her creativity spills into all other aspects of her life: she’s also a skilled sewer and cook!

Meet the tutors: KEREANA MOSEN
Kereana Mosen, of Ngāti Hauā and Ngāpuhi descent, is a versatile performer from Ōtautahi, New Zealand. With a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts Degree from Unitec, Kereana has collaborated with various choreographers and artists in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), exploring the intersections of culture, identity, and creativity. She has had the privilege of performing and choreographing under the guidance of illustrious artists including Aloali‘i Tapu, Tru Paraha, Ariana Tikao, and Juanita Hepi. Passionate about re-indigenizing spaces, she uses her art to reclaim cultural narratives in traditional and contemporary contexts. Dedicated to amplifying indigenous voices and challenging societal norms, Kereana inspires audiences through storytelling and movement.
