Over the past two decades, there's been one DJ we've bought back time and time again.

holds a special place in our hearts, most memorably for Rinsed 1st Birthday (Warehouse Experiment) in 2004 where he absolutely packed out a warehouse in Waltham and we raved until sunrise 😍

Having seen him perform recently at Knockout Outdoor and HTID, he continues to be a crowd favourite playing anthem after anthem, even after 20+ years!!

It's our privilege to bring him back to ChCh once again, and showcase the very best of happy hardcore music 💪💪

🥳 DJ COMP ANNOUNCEMENT 🥳

First up, just want to say a MASSIVE thanks to everyone that entered the DJ comp! It's so heartwarming to know that people have put time and energy into preparing and uploading a mix, and the quality was right up there, so mad props to you all!!

Second up... we've got a surprise! Unfortunately our man Shane-O won't be able to make it along this weekend, BUT this has meant that we've got a spot for TWO new DJs for RINSED // Weaver (AUS)!!

As we celebrate 20 years of RINSED, not only are we showcasing the history of the harder styles in Aotearoa, but we're also looking towards the future, and the next generation of DJs.

This is your chance to win a slot, to perform alongside Australia's #1 UK happy hardcore DJ WEAVER 🤩

- No longer than 20 mins please

- DESTINATION, I struggle to gather the words to explain how iconic and important this outdoor festival was to ChCh. And personally to Firefly too, being his first ever rave he went to, way back in 2001.

Held at Cave Stream in the Southern Alps, Destination 2004 was sadly the final year of the saga. But it was also one of the most special for us, as we got to bring over (of Kniteforce legacy) to NZ for the first time!!

In support we also had Orphic, Firefly and Circus on the lineup 🫶

And boy, Luna-C's set was next level!! It was the very first of his (what's now become legendary) "Supasets". I recall Chris having a little moment after he'd played, as he'd dropped Concord Dawn's "Raining Blood" half way through his set and unbeknown to him, Concord Dawn stepped up and played straight after him 🤣 All was good though!

Massive shouts out to Derek & Steve for the memories you helped shape for so many people. Some of you may even recall picking up one of the iconic orange Destination water bottles at one of our Rinsed parties, courtesy of Derek 👌👌

- 17 years ago we had the absolute privilege of hosting the GODFATHER of rave himself DJ at the iconic Civic on Manchester St.

No gig photos unfortunately, but I recall sweating bullets at the airport after a long wait for him to exit customs. We jetted straight to the venue and he was straight on stage without even a moment to grab a drink (poor Matt 😂)

He smashed out 2hr set taking us on a journey through rave breaks, old school hardcore and happy hardcore!! I've actually just found a liveset recording, so might need to upload that soon 👀
