The Tannery offers a year round wedding venue, for both wedding ceremonies and receptions, and is particularly stunning for winter celebrations when the fairy lights are being switched on in the arcades. There are four wedding venue locations within The Tannery available, giving you the flexibility to choose what will suit your wedding size and budget. You could choose to have your ceremony elsewh

ere and arrive in style for your Tannery wedding reception. Alternatively your celebrant could conduct a romantic evening ceremony in the atrium, amid the cathedral-like arch of the glass roof, followed by photographs in the most amazing location imaginable. Our chefs will create a gourmet wedding feast expertly matched with genuine Cassels & Sons craft beers and excellent wines. Special dietary requirements can also be accommodated by arrangement.

On Saturday we hosted Jess and Dave's wedding.

Jess was the winner of our $30,000.00 wedding giveaway from the BLOOM Boutique Wedding Fair in 2023.

Saturday, the 18th of May, the scene was set, It was a beautifully mild Christchurch Autumn day the bride dressed in a custom made beaded gown by Sarah Stoute Bespoke, the gents dressed smartly in Munns attire.
The couple, along with their children, family, and loved ones, gathered to celebrate their love with a ceremony in the opulent Victorian-inspired Tannery Atrium, a ceremony filled with love, laughter and reflection.
The reception began with food and beverages flowing, the venue styled to the couples desired theme of country chic with warm autumn tones, which perfectly complemented the unique venue. A photo-booth, and champagne wall to keep guests entertained then the night kicked up a level when DJ Motiv from DJ4YOU got the party started on the decks.

The $30,000 wedding giveaway was made possible by a collaboration of incredible Canterbury based vendors including Weddings at The Tannery, Meraki Cake Design, Get Grazy , Lisa Marie Wedding Celebrant, Mrs Bottomley's Flowers, Fleur Couture Ltd, Sarah Stoute - Bespoke & Alterations, Brides of Merivale, Munns, Smile Glow, and Victor Alexeyev
