Join Auckland-based I-Start Chinese Theatre for their first ever production in Christchurch — Letter from an Unknown Woman, performed in Chinese.

📅 Saturday 01 March, 7.30-9.00pm
🎟️ www.thepiano.nz
90 minutes, no interval. Performed in Chinese.
The story tells of an anonymous woman’s deep, unrequited love for a famous writer. Starting from her adolescence, she secretly loves the writer, keeping a close watch on his life over many years, and even giving birth to his child after a brief encounter. However, her profound affection remains unnoticed and unreciprocated by the writer. Before her death, she writes a letter to confess her lifelong love and suffering.
