We were fortunate enough to win a brand new website a few months ago from the Legends Virtual Marketers! At the same time we decided it was a great time to freshen up our look - so enlisted the help of Vanilla Hayes.

Free Water Taxi while Colville Road is shut
Although the lodge is fine, sadly Colville Road is not and the update is it will be closed "for some time" due to the state of damage. We are awaiting further updates, but have been told it could be weeks 😭
This has been the worst summer of weather events for operating a seasonal business that relies on the summer trade to carry us through winter. We are trying to think outside the box, to keep the lodge and staff ticking, and have a potential solution/fix for those who want to get into us 🛥️ FREE RETURN WATER TAXI transfers from Oamaru Bay to Amodeo Bay aboard Anglers Lodge II while roads are closed to the public.
We will securely park your vehicles at Shelly Beach TOP 10, then shuttle you to Oamaru Bay for a beautiful boat taxi ride up the coastline to Amodeo Bay. * Weather permitting *
In the lodge, you will enjoy our usual offerings including the free pool, fresh barista coffees, onsite shop, while you explore Amodeo and beautiful white sandy Waitete Bays, Bush walks or jump aboard a half or full day fishing charter with Captain Doors directly from the lodge. Plus unlimited free spa bookings!
This is only for cabin or unit bookings, minimum night 2 nights, and while the road is shut. We staying closed this weekend, but available from Tuesday - and set pick up and drop off times.
We appreciate the support so far and would love to get as many people back to the Coromandel, keep our crew with hours, and keeping us ticking along during this difficult time.

Pooltime! At the moment 28 Degrees in the pool, not bad!
Papa Aroha water fall walk
We tried the waterfall walk from the Colville and beyond trail cards, you can buy them in our shop. Entrance to the walk is through the gate opposite to the fire station and then through the small gate behind the water tanks that feed the camp ground at Papa Aroha. Not an easy walk but well worth it!
