Anglers Lodge motel and holiday park enjoys some of New Zealand’s most spectacular coastal scenery, recreational fishing and boating opportunities. A range of accommodation options are available, from self contained motel units, cabins and powered / unpowered camp sites. A small shop with the most used groceries fishing gear, ice, bait. Facilities include a swimming pool, spa, games room, children

’s play area, boatwash & fish cleaning area. Nearby can be found a clear flowing stream and lagoon (safe swimming and paddling for children under supervision), with beach access and beautiful bush walks just moments away. Amodeo Bay – Good land and boat based fishing territory with great snapper fishing. Anglers Lodge provides a range of boat services. Fishing charter:
Come snapper fishing in the beautiful Coromandel on our 7.5m walk-around boat. It takes less than 10 minutes to travel to the majority of our fishing spots! Enjoy our standard 4 hour or full day trip. All tackle & bait provided. No experience needed. Boat launching:
Boaties have use of a nearby boat ramp and Anglers Lodge offers its guests a special tractor boat launching and retrieval service . Boat wash-down and fish cleaning facilities are available on site. Boat taxi:
Spend a day fishing, or simply relaxing and enjoying the incredible scenery, on any of the many offshore islands by using our ‘Rock Hopper’ boat service. Our boat will drop you off and pick you up again after your day out. Sight Seeing Tours:
Take a trip on ‘Anglers Lodge’ around the many islands that comprise the Motukawao Group. Experience aquaculture with a visit to the mussel farms. Sight some of the many sea birds in the area with a visit to the gannet colonies or perhaps a penguin or three. Dolphins are also regular inhabitants of the area as are whales and orca, however these tend to be seasonal. Anglers Lodge is just 1 hr 20 minutes drive from Thames, and 20 minutes from Coromandel Town. Your journey will include some of New Zealands most spectacular coastal scenery. We’re thrilled and honored to take the helm as the new owners of Anglers Lodge Coromandel!

As long-time regulars, this place has always held a special spot in our hearts including our own engagement and wedding held here at Anglers Lodge and we’re beyond excited to continue its legacy.

A huge thank you to Aaron and the McFarlane Family for their trust in us and support over the last few months.

We’re committed to nurturing the lodge with the same passion and care, ensuring it remains a cherished retreat for guests, staff, and the community.

Having spent the summer learning the ropes, we’re ready to dive in, keep the good vibes flowing, and maybe even add a few new fish tales to the mix! 🐟

Thank you all for your continued support—we can’t wait to share sunsets, stories, and tight lines with you.

Today marks the official changing of the guards — we’ve sold Anglers Lodge Coromandel to long-time regulars (and now proud new owners), David and Jennifer Morgan! 🥳

After more than 5 years, it’s time for us to pass the rod and reel and refocus our energy 12kms down the road at Shelly Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park. It’s been a ride and we’ve had an absolute blast — filled with unforgettable sunsets, salty stories, and some pretty decent fish tales too 🐟. We’re beyond grateful for all the support, laughter, and friendships we’ve gained from our incredible guests, hardworking team, and the Anglers community.

Knowing Anglers Lodge is now in the hands of a family who’ll continue to nurture it with care and passion makes this next chapter an exciting one. David and Jennifer, we couldn’t think of a better crew to take the helm. They have had summer to learn the ropes - so please continue your support to them.

Anglers Lodge

Welcome to Anglers Lodge, accommodation, camping, SpotX fishing charters and wedding venue. With the mountains and bush in its backyard and the Hauraki Gulf on its doorstep, Anglers Lodge has one of the most spectacular surroundings, beaches, great fishing opportunities and breath taking views.

Spending a day, a weekend or your holiday here will give you joyful memories.

You can choose from several accommodation options: self-contained units, studio, cabins, powered and non-powered camping sites. On site we have a small shop with the basic range of groceries, wine, beer, fishing gear, ice and bait. The lodge facilities include a swimming pool, spa, games room with SKY TV/DVD/pool table, play area, free use of BBQ-area and hot showers. Internet access - Zenbu Hotspot zone, 100 MB free daily. If you bring your boat, you have use of the boat ramp. Anglers Lodge offer a boat launch and retrieve service. Fish cleaning and fish smoker are available on site.
