Love my cosy wee office!!
And After a cold damp day of job inspections and outside jobs it’s nice to warm up in front of heater and catch up on some quotes and invoices.

Why is it relevant??
Turns out exactly a year ago today I traveled to Waipara and picked up was going to be my latest of many projects.
A poky little shed destined to become the corporate headquarters of Longacre Event Hire. A proposed 2 month job turned into a year and still not finished🤦‍♂️but it’s worth it☺️

Todays task is to deal with the last straggler, a custom build leaner for one of our customers due to head south on Monday to show itself off in the Southland sun👌

It can be a long day so having somewhere for everyone to sit and chat can be well received, and when you can make it look amazing to suit the setting why wouldn’t you!!!

Ready to go at the Hororata Glow festival!!!

Bit of fun setting this up, especially stringing the festoons up in amongst the oaks and never a dull moment be it watching the balloons on a mid afternoon jaunt across the upper plains or the sound and light check mixed in with one of the coolest light infused dance routines I’ve seen😲……and yes I have seen a few 😂

Thanks again to Cindy and the team for another invite for this years night glow extravaganza!!
Very proud to part of such an iconic and successful local event☺️

If you are lucky enough to be attending, make sure you go checkout the bar area in amongst the oaks…..I’m a bit partial to it myself😉

It’s all fun making the magic happen…but rest assured I’ll be there to pack it all up once the light of day reveals nothing but hangovers and bad decisions 🙋‍♂️🫣😉

Just because it’s a holiday for most this weekend doesn’t mean we’ve dodged our duties, out and about seeing more amazing parts of the countryside and working for more amazing couples!!

And she’s definitely been a hot one !!🥵🥵
Plenty of umbrellas going out that’s for sure!

Enjoy what’s left if the long weekend folks, as for me I’m about to go unload some furniture ready for this afternoon’s pickups😁

Case in point the use of one of our recently completed super rustic bespoke easel’s hanging out with its little cream can mate dressed to the nines at 👌👌👌

Workshop day today amongst juggling other tasks🙄 getting a few more wine barrels ready to accept the extra umbrellas we have on order to help provide more shade for our hot summer weddings🥵👌

All thanks to my awesome couples dotted around the countryside Jeez I’ve got some lucky wine barrels getting out and about seeing the sights this weekend!!

And lucky we’ve got plenty!! with over 20 out on hire no one missed out👌

These really lucky wee buggars seen here taking in the beachside ambience whilst their owner feeds his fat little face for tea, preparing for the big trip home.

What an epic day!!! 🥵But always love getting out and about, meeting new people!!

Firstly managed to fall off the back of truck🙄 forcing me to use some very colourful language🫣🤕

Then off to Asburton to help H&L out with some longacre love in amongst the trees at 😍

Followed by a reload and mad dash over to Hokitika for G&M and their team of merry helpers for another stunning west coast wedding!!

Now just sitting by the beach watching the sun set over the Tasman sea whilst finally eating some tea before heading home for some rest🚛🚛

Special mention goes to the team at Trotts Garden for the sweet as wheels this morning!!

FYI I had waaaaay too much fun using it😂😂😂

Loved this place!!! Brought back many fond memories for me of a farm I worked on In Western Australia many years ago.
Not only the buildings but the settlement sharing the same name☺️
