✨ It's all the little details that make this cake stand out and all I did was take my clients ideas and turn it into what we see here.😍

🎂Cake details: Chocolate cake with buttercream filling, masked in fondant. There is a grey and black belt representing the recipient's grade in Jujitsu, and the colour theme is the club colours, black and gold, represented by the gold drip and black fondant exterior. An acrylic happy birthday cake topper finishes off this look with chocolates, caramel and Oreo cookies to decorate.

🥰Thank you so much Kieta for your design concept and for wanting a cake to congratulate your inspiring daughter on her birthday. Happy Birthday to Anahera and thank you for your support, neighbours!💕

✨ Celebrating Niue Language a few weeks ago with food, fun and fellowship.🇳🇺

The 2024 theme for Niue Language Week is 'Leveki mo e Feaki e Vagahau Niue ma Anoiha - Protect and Nurture Vagahau Niue for the Future'. It's important to keep our traditions and language alive especially during these changing modern times.

🎂Cake details: 14inch celebration slab cake, vanilla with patisserie banana filling, masked in fondant and adorned with plumeries and a special message for our Dunedin Community. We also made sugar cookies for everyone as a keepsake to commomerate this special day.

😍The Niue Community here in Dunedin has always been small in numbers; yet we make up for it by making sure we are all looked after. From babysitting, preparing food, organizing events and even just a quick update and chat. I appreciate my people and their efforts in having a space for us to meet and enjoy, even it is only an annual occasion.

Special thanks to our residing group president Mr B Nicols and family for organizing a wonderful day out in the sun and for our magaafoa for bringing along a plate of food to share. Fakaaue lahi mahaki.

I am one of the many NZ born Niuean people, learning and cultivating the Niue culture for the future. My wish is that our children are able to stay connected to their roots and where they come from, so they can continue the legacy and be proud of who they are. My late father, also gave me some words of wisdom whenever we used to talk about Niue history and I will always cherish it: the easiest way to learn is to teach the children how to speak and sing in Niuean and you too will learn along with them.💖🕊️💕

✨ Don't you just love mini cakes?! This was such a fun cake that I made from a cake order last month. It encapsulates the cake recipient's love of all the monsters and characters from the blockbuster movie Pacific Rim.

🎂Cake details: 2-tier cake featuring a 4inch top tier and 6inch bottom cake. Both red velvet flavour with cream cheese filling. The decor is made in fondant from the edible images to the stars scattered around the cake.

🎉 Thanks so much for your order Vaitupu-Manutulila family! Hope your son had a marvelous day with his friends on the cake, the Kaijus and Jaegars.

I have so many cakes and treats to show you and this is just one of many, so keep your eyes peeled. 👀💕

✨ Another market done and dusted. Whoop, whoop!

Thanks to everyone that stopped by the stall today at the Wingatui Market. Hope you all enjoyed the treats!

Let me know what you think of the coconut bread to the few that managed to get their hands on a loaf. I'll have to bring more next time! Cupcakes were probably not a great choice to bring during a hot day, yet managed to sell them with lemon raspberry being the most popular choice.

🌞 A stellar day that was delivered with smiling and generally happy visitors; young, old and in-between! I also acknowledge all my usual customers and thank you so much for coming out and supporting my business.

Thanks again for having us bring our sweet treats to Mosgiel. Looking forward to the Food Festival Market next month, so make sure you mark it in your calendars! Will try to bring some pacific hot food for you to try. 🤤

💖 Shout out to my youngest son for helping me today. He is off to school camp tomorrow and enjoyed spending the day with me. Special thanks to the cousin for the last minute sos with a gazebo as my original one broke. Fakaaue lahi. 💞

✨ Fakaalofa lahi atu. Happy Niue Language Week. Monuina e faahi tapu e vagahau Niue.🇳🇺

The 2024 theme for Niue Language Week is 'Leveki mo e Feaki e Vagahau Niue ma Anoiha - Protect and Nurture Vagahau Niue for the Future'. It's important to keep our traditions and language alive especially during these changing modern times.

If you didn't already know it's a big celebration this year for all of Niue and it's people, to commemorate 50 years of self governance. Did you manage to watch any televised coverage of the celebrations back on the island? Check out .news for a wonderful piece about the occasion and lead up to the celebration in Niue, and head to for more information about Niue language, phrases and greetings you could try saying during this week.

I am one of the many NZ born Niuean people, learning and cultivating the Niue culture for the future. My wish is that our children are able to stay connected to their roots and where they come from, so they can continue the legacy and be proud of who they are. 🇳🇺 I am proud to be part of the Niue Dunedin Ōtepoti Community here in Dunedin and for the past couple of years, Sweet Revelations have had the privilege of making a cake for the community to share during the yearly Pulefakamotu celebrations. This year will be just as significant as we will gather together again on Saturday with a hearty BBQ, fun and fellowship... And of course, cake!

Kia monuina e faahi tapu e vagahau Niue. Cheeeehooo!!🌺

✨ This time last week, we were heads down tails up at the Bradford School, Dunedin magnificent Bradford School Quiz Night and it was quite simply a night to remember!

Thank you so much to the Bradford School Principal, Board of Trustees and Parent Teacher Association for the honour of having Sweet Revelations serve desserts at your event. It was a different set up to my usual market stall yet I think I managed to pull it off to suit the occasion.🥳

We had triple chocolate brownies, cupcakes, cookies, cake slices and even a cute custom quiz night sugar cookie to commemorate the quiz which was the highlight of my night; seeing the reactions to my surprise treat and a nod to my children's school.

🍪The brains behind the design of the edible image on the cookies was the talented graphic designer and school board member Anna. I can only take credit for baking the cookies as the art work on the cookies, all the posters, ads, fb posts etc that you saw for the quiz night was all her. Thank you Anna.

A truly superb occasion to be a part of and I hope to be back next time to serve more delicious Sweet Revelations treats! 💕
