OMG imagine if all plants did this ? Dancing party in the garden .And add a bit of AI and they can transplant themselves

It’s called a Walking Palm Tree because it does actually walk. When it chooses a location to go towards, it grows new roots in that direction and lets the trailing roots die back. This continues inch by inch, and it can travel up to twenty feet in a year.

Yes I know you can hardly see them . They are the tiny baby seedlings of Eucalyptus’Baby Blue ‘ . I managed to germinate from a tree that I planted about 4 years ago . The thing is,even at this size, the root is already long and so must be moved from tray into little pots . Dear little fragile things . They are staying inside with me until the weather improves a little. I’ll update you on their progress. I do hope they survive to become foliage for bouquets by summer/autumn 2025

Watching excessive rain events around our country over the last year or two makes us folk here in Dunedin count our blessings .
I've found that mulching with woodchips has been the best strategy to soak up excess water .It is like a blanket over the garden which stops the force of the rain battering the soil and washing it away from our precious seedlings .It also stores the moisture thus keeping it for when it is needed during dryer times.
