Tonight at the Club we gathered around the big screen to watch the 2024 ASB Rugby Awards.

We are deeply honoured to announce that Green Island Rugby Club has been named the Bunnings, New Zealand Rugby Club of the Year.
This prestigious recognition is a testament to the dedication, passion, and hard work of our entire rugby community.
Firstly, thank you to ASB Bank, Bunnings Warehouse New Zealand, New Zealand Rugby, and Otago Community Rugby. We are also grateful to the groups and individuals who nominated us. Your unwavering support and belief is appreciated.
Secondly and most importantly, whether you live locally in the Island, across Dunedin, New Zealand and beyond, we extend our heartfelt thanks to you, our junior and senior players, families, members, volunteers and sponsors. We truely appreciate your continued support, loyalty and love. This win is for all of us.
Our success is not the result of a single moment, but the culmination of years of collective effort and determination from everyone, past and present. It may have taken us until our 140th year, but as the Mainland Cheese ad wisely says, "Good things take time."

We have all done the Mahi; we all get the treats!!!
