A little plea for Featherston - please don’t park on the points outside the engine shed. Eight hours work yesterday and they were damaged an hour after we fixed them. Easily done in an open parking area. We’ll be looking at a way to protect them in future. We had hoped to run this weekend - but give us another couple of weeks now. Looking forward to regular rides in the Square again 😊🙏

A great time had by members at Tauherenikau for Waitangi Day. Good crowd, perfect run on our track. Not a single horse race seen as usual 🤣

A huge day spent on the Clifford Square track, points, and general maintenance of things not as they should be. A big thanks to Garry and Ken at Featherston Menz Shed Inc for all their hard work.

Yeah we’re pretty stoked! DC4012 is home. Our huge thanks again to the KiwiRail team at Hutt Workshop for all their work. We are humbled by their generosity and genuine interest in something far removed in scale to what they’re used to. From painting to engineering, to donated time, to others outside the KiwiRail team pitching in with help too, it looks fantastic and the Featherston community is going to love seeing this back on the track!

Almost home! Our huge thanks to the team at Kiwirail’s Hutt Workshop for all their work on our DC4012 (formerly 4450). We are very humbled by their generosity and genuine interest in something far removed in scale to what they’re used to. From painting to engineering it looks fantastic and the Featherston community is going to love seeing this back on the track!

We had another great day out at Tauherenikau Racing & Event Centre to support the racing. Surprisingly beautiful weather before the rain came back.

Two days work and we got another stretch of new fence in for the Tauherenikau Racing & Event Centre races on 2 January. A big thanks to Mitre 10 Martinborough for sponsoring the materials.

Cross Creek Railway won’t be running in Clifford Square until after New Year due to maintenance required on the track. We will be at Tauherenikau Racing & Event Centre on 2 January.
