Waikato Ski and Snowboard Competition 2024 CANCELLED.

Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions, this competition has been cancelled. The weather gods were not in our favor for 2024; however, with ski field ownership sorted, Waikato Ski and Board organisers have already started the planning process with Pure Turoa regarding next year’s competition: Friday 15 August 2025 with bad weather back update, Friday 22 August 2025.

Watch this space and we look forward to seeing this event back in action for 2025.

Waikato Basketball are holding a Basketball Coaching Workshop for Secondary Schools. This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge on how to facilitate training session, provide injury prevention warmups, Training protocol (safeguarding yourself and your players), and game day strategy.

The event is being held 6.30-8.30pm, Monday 24 June at Sport Waikato, Brian Perry Sports House, 51 Akoranga Road, Hamilton.

On Tuesday 21st Athletics Waikato/Bay of Plenty held the
Cross Country- Waikato Bay of Plenty Secondary Schools Championships 2024 at Tauhara Park, Hamilton.

It was an incredible event with over 100 rangatahi in attendance. A huge congratulations to all students who participated.
