I miss making posies, so I have a special on them :-)
At this time of the year I used to make them for teachers gifts, table arrangements and small gifts.
If you would like posies, you can have them delivered, or collect from Maraekakaho. We have so many beautiful home grown freshly picked flowers, so I can guarantee they will be long lasting and excellent value.

Sorry we are closed this week, as we have friends visiting from USA. It's such a treat to have a wee break with them. Back delivering Monday 9th until Christmas.

With Equidays this weekend, and then my sister and brother-in-law coming to bike some of the Hawkes Bay trails, Hawkes Bay Anniversary day and Labour weekend, it seems like a good time to take a break.
Getting flowers for the short weeks would be difficult, so I am closing from Friday the 18th of October until Tuesday the 29th of October, and will be delivering gorgeous fresh flowers again from Wednesday the 30th of October.
I am sorry for any inconvenience.

Today was a day of contrast! Could these two be any more different? 1) a native sympathy sheaf 2) a vase of soft tones. I love a client who knows what they want, and the description for this one was specific, and the result opulent perfection.

I was so honoured to create the final floral tribute for a kind, talented man, who used to visit me in the shop.
The brief was bold flowers, arty, in deep, vibrant reds, orange, purples and include lavender.
I loved the result.

We've been spending lots of time in the garden, but felt it was time Maia got out for some fun. She comes to yoga, often comes on deliveries, and she is always hopeful in will end in an adventure for her. Yesterday was her day.
This post is for her shop fans who used to visit her, and give her so much love. I am sure she misses you all.

We are open again, tomorrow, after a few days away in Christchurch. We were treated to a wonderful snow storm last night, which made for a very pretty flight home.
We visited a beautiful garden called "Broadfields " in Rolleston. It has inspired me to change a couple of things in our garden. We also visited the botanical gardens in Christchurch, which are lovely even in winter.
I am looking forward to making your orders for tomorrow, once we collect the flowers from the couriers.

Tonight's challenge! A large pastel arrangement made with eco floral foam.(its all i have now).It's made with wool and basalt. It's definitely harder than normal oasis, but I managed!

A couple of florist choice roll wraps, that I enjoyed creating this week. I love working with orchids and chrysanthemums, as well as the happy faces of gerberas. They last for weeks, which is an added bonus.
