We are open again, tomorrow, after a few days away in Christchurch. We were treated to a wonderful snow storm last night, which made for a very pretty flight home.
We visited a beautiful garden called "Broadfields " in Rolleston. It has inspired me to change a couple of things in our garden. We also visited the botanical gardens in Christchurch, which are lovely even in winter.
I am looking forward to making your orders for tomorrow, once we collect the flowers from the couriers.

Our "Florist pick" product has been popular this week. It is so easy, it leaves everything up to me, I choose a suitable colour, and whether I think it should be in a vase or water-box, or just a bouquet. It also enables you to choose a cheaper option to send. With $100 being a good size for a bouquet now, sometimes you only want to send something small. "Florist pick" goes down to $50, for if you just want to send something smaller. It will still be beautiful, whatever the price, that is our guarantee.

This week I bought flowers from market for the second time this year. Although we are still getting a fabulous lot of flowers from our growing, things are getting busy, and it is nice to have a few commercially grown flowers too. Happy New Year everyone. I hope it is going well for you. I have heard of some sad starts already, so please be kind to those around you, take care, and appreciate your loved ones.
We have had a fantastic start to the year. We have made it back to Yoga, after having an 8 year break. We are really feeling the benefits after 4 days, but we are also feeling some muscles.😂

The website,
www.flowersbytanya.co.nz is open for website orders, there are some things to note:
1) At the moment the flowers are all grown by us, or local flower growers.
2) Orders need to be in the day before, to guarantee next day delivery, sometimes you may be lucky, but often our deliveries will be done first thing, and as we live 20 minutes out of town, we will only be doing deliveries once a day.
3)The lady who bought the retail side of our business, still has our old phone number until the end of February. You can call them if you need flowers the same day, or to collect from the shop in Hastings 06 878 8787
4) The website and the shop are two separate business's now.
5) I can guarantee to fulfil your website orders with beautiful flowers picked fresh daily, professional designs created by myself(Tanya), to our usual high standard, plus excellent value for money.

It is the first time in 3 years that we have a vege garden. We are eating so much from it.

So the time has come to try working from home, in my gorgeous new floral studio. Today was the first time opening the website, and I have been blown away, I think this will work. :-)
Thanks to those who placed orders today. The website is still a work in progress, I have several fabric floral arrangements still to photograph, (I hope to sell them, so that I can have the lounge back again. :-) )
The website will be open for 2 weeks, and then we are closing for another break. That sounds bad, but we have been busy. :-)

Well the studio is finished, and here are the photos, its a lovely space to work in.
