It was such a privilege today to speak about styling / tablescaping at the pink ribbon breakfast alongside my gorgeous and talented colleague Kim from . Thank you for having us ! Also a big thank you to and for the use of your beautiful pieces … this enabled the funds to go directly to the charity . It takes a village and we have amazing village people ###

Appreciation Monday just keeps on being thankful … next up is this awesome human ! Kim is so incredibly talented and always nails the brief no matter what it is … as seen in these two shots from events on Saturday and Sunday … two totally different vibes nailed to perfection . She is also amazing to work with , an incredible mum to her children and a wonderful friend to many including lucky old me ! Thank you Kim for all that is you … especially the bit where you get up all the ladders 😉! ###

Next up on appreciation Monday are these two absolute gems ! and who were responsible for the painted surfboards, this photo board and the hanging of all the beach balls ( all 250 of them ) which kept running away down the beach when we opened the van doors ! These two are an absolute joy to have around , they are clever , funny, determined , kind , strong , independent young women and I often think that if their generation are all like them then we are indeed in good hands going forward . Thank you for all that you do and all that you are ###

Today is about appreciation and first up is a giant thank you to . Hillary always has my back and when I come up with hare brained schemes she mainly enables me ( except for when they are dangerous) ! For the grand long lunch this year Hillary whipped out the bernina and made 250 gorgeous napkins and yes each had a ric rac edging sewn on so twice the work ! Each one was absolutely perfection and joy inducing, so much so that 32 seem to have gone home with guests ( we would love them back just saying ) . Anyway , thank you so much Hillary , you are an absolute star and an amazing human as well ! Also a big shout out to Mr Riches for living with the bernina out on the dining table for so long ###

Prepare to be transported to a vivid world, where food, wine, styling and live entertainment are intertwined to create an event of a lifetime. Every year, the Grand Long Lunch is completely reinvented, ensuring no two years are the same!

In 2024, the Grand Long Lunch features a five-course meal prepared by some of Australasia’s leading chefs – Hawke’s Bay’s own Casey McDonald (Craggy Range Winery), Plabita Florence (Forest Restaurant, Auckland), Cuisine Magazine’s Chef of the Year Zennon Wiljens (Paris Butter, Auckland), Greg Piner (Marbecks, Dunedin) and Callum Hann (Lou's Place, Barossa Valley and Eleven Restaurant, Adelaide).

Happy new year lovely people ! As we head into a new year knowing that so many romantics became engaged over the holiday break I thought it would be timely to have a wee chat about budgets ( icky word) !
I always tell my clients to choose the three things that matter most to them and just go for gold but be prepared to compromise on other items ! My three things would be flowers , food and champagne and photography… that’s 3 right ? 😉 Everyone’s 3 is different and it should be !
Some things are a complete waste of money in my books too .. I.e wedding favors . They usually end up being binned in the clean up and the money is much better utilized as one of your 3 ! My other pet hate is bar leaners … you are not in the public bar at the local, you are creating a classy day to celebrate your love and again add the $$$ to your top 3 ! Don’t be coerced into “packages “ if it isn’t what you want …. Say no and look elsewhere … again keep your eye on your top 3 !
Start by determining who will contribute , number of guests and total budget before you go shopping and categorize your budget by percentage … here is a rough guide
Venue , catering , alcohol , rental items 40%
Photography 12%
Entertainment 10%
Flowers 12%
Dress and beauty services 9%
Celebrant 3%
Stationery 3%
Transportation 2%
Cake 2%
Wedding rings 2%
Emergency fund 5%

Merry Christmas from my home to yours . Thank you to the many fabulous people who have supported Miss Frou Frou in 2023 . I always feel so incredibly privileged to be styling your most precious moments and never take it for granted . I have some exciting new ideas for 2024 but for now … this is my Christmas Tablescape for tomorrow… my son is going to roll his eyes more then once . The last image was my friendsmas dinner on Friday evening … my way of thanking some important people in my life . Once again excuse my dodgy photography! Merry Christmas lovely people ###

Well the hair colour is not the only change happening at Miss Frou Frou ! We are all about keeping things fresh and exciting around here and to that end we have sold our stock to some absolutely amazing humans who will continue to create exquisite events for you all ! The lovely Hannah from and , the dynamic duo of James and Jas from and gorgeous Claire from are now the proud owners of all eleventy billion stock items ! I still own the brand as I have an idea or two …. Well you knew I would 😉 Anyhow, I couldn’t be happier with this outcome !
I have the deepest admiration for this group of hard working , incredibly talented entrepreneurs. They have business acumen and creative talent in equal measures and they also possess what mattered most to me … they are thoroughly decent humans who will care about you and your event , they care that they do this well whilst caring for our planet . I have always been so proud of not only the “what” but also the “where from” when curating this collection and I now get to sit back and watch exceptional Hawkes Bay talents do THEIR thing with it .
Thank you to everyone who has entrusted me with their important life moments … it has been an absolute privilege! I have a few existing commitments this summer but will be taking it much easier for a bit as I show my new joints the respect and time they need to be up and running again then watch this space ! I absolutely love the people I work with and can’t wait to create some new magic with them soon …
To Hannah , Jas , James and Claire , I watch happily from the cheap seats as you make your own magic for people who are intelligent and discerning . I don’t need to wish you luck because you have talent and decency by the bucket load !

Here we go again lovely people ! Miss Frou Frou has some spiegelau glasses for sale and thought I would share the love here in time for all your Christmas socializing . I have burgundy , red wine , white wine , champagne coupes and flutes and beer / water glasses. The wine and champagne glasses usually retail for $149.90 for 4 glasses The coupes 120.00 for 4 and the beer glasses 80.00 for 4 . I am selling the wine in all sizes and champagne glasses for $15 each and the coupes for $12 each . The beer/ water for $7.50 each . DM me and I can pop them aside . We have roughly 300 of each in case you have the whole family coming for Christmas 😂###
