Massive weekend of mahi for us as we tackle our gardens and give them a much needed makeover! 💪🏻🌿

Glad we were able to recycle, trim and move around our existing plants so we didn’t need to buy anymore! 💚

We are yet to tackle our big garden, another weekend for that one.🫣

When your work is also situated where you live it can be hard to switch off!

But I have found a new love 💖 to make sure I have some down time.

So after a few local classes and a course through the university of YouTube my love affair and journey with pottery is well under way!

My goal is to make as many of the plates, bowls and cups for the new cafe as I can….expect to see some wonky pottery, but all will be handmade with love!

TEST KITCHEN TIME 🙌🏻 Jerusalem Artichokes are part of the sunflower family and are known as Sunchokes in America. They have a nutty flavour to them and are really good for gut health……although may lead to a bit more fermenting for some 💨😅 they can be eaten cooked or raw. They will feature on our Mothers Day menu…..planted back in spring, a dish 6 months in the making! 🫶🏼 Results to come a bit later… Tickle the earth and she’ll laugh you a harvest! 🌱🌾🫚💚 We only have a few tables left for Mothers Day so if you would like to book a table, pop along to www.ohangai.co.nz and check our Pop Up Events page. ❣️
