Mothers Day offerings

This year I won’t be doing any fresh flowers on Mother’s Day, I’m very sorry. I wanted to but the first frost arrived this morning and honestly I’m a bit exhausted 😬

I am well aware that this day can be a tough one for many for a large number of reasons but celebrating people we love that mother us is a wonderful thing to do. Finally making an introduction

I’m Keryn, creator of Riverbend Flora. I am a passionate gardener and started a cut flower field in 2020. I have been following the flowers ever since and have had some amazing adventures, opportunities and met some brilliant creatives along the way.

I now call myself a home-based florist specialising in weddings. This season I have launched a range of botanical jewellery with more to follow. I do a bit of screen printing, painting, drawing, basic pottery, lots of knitting and all these art forms play into my business and what I want to create

I was thrilled to find a stem that had the perfect bend in it for this trail. I am forever hunting for not straight stems in the field and this one was like finding gold

I didn’t realise till part way through photographing that by beautiful Aunty Ann’s Sweet pea drawing she did for me 3 years ago was sitting behind this arrangement. I will be re-running this little image that means so much to me when I release my sweet pea jewellery

✨Important & Exciting Announcement✨

Ok I have been sitting on this for a while and I wasn’t going to share these for a bit longer but I am just a little bit too excited….

For the last couple months I have been working with a talented jewellery designer to bring one of my drawings to reality. It has been a crazy process and at one point play dough may of been used but I cannot tell you how thrilled I am with the final result.

I will be pre-selling a very limited run of these in the next couple of weeks and there are some earrings to come…… but for now I am just wanting to let you in on this joyful moment for me 🤍

Creating with flowers is an absolutely joy and passion for me, it is my art form.

I feel incredibly thankful and blessed to have made a career out of growing, teaching and creating with flowers. So to everyone who has got me to this point, thank you. This is my fourth season and I still feel like I am only just discovering the potential within Riverbend Flora. Many more dreams and ideas to bring to life

The first bouquet of the season and it was a dream to work on.

I created this yesterday which happened to be my own wedding anniversary. Never in a million years would i have believed 16 years ago when I got married that one day I would be creating someone else wedding bouquet. It is an absolute privilege, honour and dream to be a wedding florist. Every bouquet is constructed with so much care, love and attention to detail

This bouquet was filled with lavender that the bride had dried herself and wrapped with satin from her own mothers wedding dress. I absolutely adore details like this

P.s I also grew this orchid myself, not bragging but kinda

A magic weekend spent creating, chatting , learning, laughing and connecting with so many beautiful women 🌸🌷

It has left me inspired and full of gratitude for this amazing team that brought this weekend workshop together. A perfect way to start a busy wedding season ahead

Some of these photos almost didn’t happen as I left my camera back at my Airbnb but very handy helper Jane drove all the way back to retrieve it for me, honestly blown away and so thankful she did that for me.
