An incredible night for CANZ Canterbury celebrants at Bell, Lamb and Trotter funeral directors, in which we learnt all about resomation, or natural water cremation. Presented by Deborah Richards of Water Cremation Aotearoa and Andrew Bell, this PD event was run both live at B, L &T premises, and online livestream.

This will be a first in NZ, available from Bell, Lamb and Trotter once launched in 2025.

A far gentler form of cremation than flame cremation, this could well become the most requested form of cremation in the near future.

Weekend off for the celebrant.

Waiting on our bus to play in the Parade at the Oamaru Victorian Heritage celebrations this morning. Parade at midday today; tomorrow the Victorian Fete. Soooo cold here today. Breeze off the sea verra nippy!! Thank Gawd for our pure wool full military uniforms!!!

I'm so thrilled to announce that I am now a VCANZ celebrant!

Which basically means I am authorized to officiate registry ceremonies (as well as big ceremonies, of course).

So if you and your significant other are looking to get wed but don't want a grand affair that costs precious dollars you don't want, or have, to spend, then a simple registry ceremony is your answer.

Lookin' forward to marrying you fabulous couples Registry Style now and into 2025.

The sun shone extra brightly 🌞 over Airdmhor Montessori this afternoon as Mr Craig Gibson entertained the crowds and Mrs Celine Gibson - Marriage Celebrant MC'ed Airdmhor's 25th Jubilee. Biggest congrats to the star ⭐ of the afternoon, Elaine Low, without whom Airdmhor Montessori would not exist.

Céline the Celebrant wearing her other hat - tenor drummer for City of Christchurch Highland Pipe Band - and this was at the Heathcote Valley Inn, a lovely thank you from organisers of Heathcote Valley ANZAC Day commemorations to those who take part in in Heathcote Dawn Parade every year.

The band thought an impromptu jam session for our hosts was in order.

As a celebrant and as a tenor drummer in the City of Christchurch Highland Pipe Band, what an honour it was to take part in the Christchurch Buddhist Shrine's event this morning for World Peace. Such a beautiful ceremony of people coming together from all walks of life - united in one common goal. To pray for the world to find peace, no matter race or creed. It can be done. If there is the will, there is the way.

Keeping up our celebrant knowledge at Celebrants Aotearoa New Zealand APM and Personal Development Session 2024.
Got our new committee in place, with Yours Truly returning as Secretary. A fond farewell to outgoing Chair, Nicola McCarthy (gorgeous in green), and welcome to new Chair Ana Connor (taking whiteboard presentation). Fantastic to have our President, Rachel Clarke, fly down from the sunny North to speak to us.Looking forward to an exciting year ahead with lots of new plans in the pipeline! 👍👌👍
