ZZM is primarily a drum and bass collective with a focus on reviving the Bush Doof scene around drum n bass in New Zealand, using our countries strongest feature, its natural beauty - and combining it with our music to create that unique NZ DnB experience that the bass heads who came before us got to enjoy, and carrying the torch forwards for the next generation to keep this subculture alive and m
oving forwards. Standing on the shoulders of the giants that came before us we hope to one day become giants in our own right and keep the legacy of NZ DnB going strong and standing tall and proud at the forefront of the international scenes by embracing what we share with our overseas DnB brothers, but also what makes us unique. While the core of the group is primarily DnB focused we have strong ties with other scenes to allow a symbiosis of inspiration in order to foster growth, and deliberately avoid falling into stagnation by being too rigid or purist in regards to our sound. We try to find a balance between honouring the work of those who came before us and uplifting those who will come up with us and after us.
