One of the best parts of what I do is not only getting to know and work with the couples I marry - but meeting their family and friends.

Quite often I will be booked by a couple who were at their friends wedding where I was the celebrant and they loved the vibe. Other times it’s because I performed their brothers ceremony, or their cousins ceremony and they know they will be in good hands.

Last weeks wedding for Cameron and Nicole was my second for a member of Cameron’s family - as I was the celebrant for his mums wedding a few years ago (she is one of the nicest people you could hope to meet).

That’s always been the best thing about being a wedding celebrant - the people you meet and the connections you make 🤍

Carrie Ann and Michael ❤️

Another stunning day in February with the most incredible views across Lake Hawea for these two amazing humans.

From the first time I spoke to Carrie Ann and Michael, it was pretty obvious that they were smitten with each other and their getting married was always going to be the next chapter in their lives together.

Two of the kindest people with the most generous hearts,
no luck needed here, these two have absolutely got each others backs for a long and happy life together.

Emma and Dylan ❤️

This fabulous duo met in high school, became friends, moved out of the friend zone after Dylan told Emma how he felt and well 11 years later - got married with the people they love the most cheering them on.

There are times in life when you meet people who you just KNOW were always destined to meet - and Emma and Dylan fit that category perfectly.

Racheal and Mike’s incredible day at was very much a reflection of who they are as a couple, and the orange heels Racheal wore definitely were a cute pop of colour against her incredible dress.

Find yourself someone who looks at you like Hannah and Nigel look at each other - such a beautiful intimate elopement recently with just a handful of their friends and family as witnesses.

Every couple I work with has a different vision for their big day - some want a big wedding, others small, sometimes it’s just the legals. Regardless my role is to make sure that the ceremony part of their day is stress free, light hearted and the little extra tips and tricks I share with them in the lead up to their special moment leaves them absolutely confident about what the ceremony part involves.

Sam and Isabella - 2 April 2022 ❤️

I hadn’t known Isabella very long when she introduced me to a eager young pilot named Sam at her 21st - fast forward 8 years and these two amazing people said I do against a landscape that only Central Otago could provide.

The weather for April was absolutely stunning - think 26 degrees and guests were making the most of the shade before the ceremony!

Beautifully written vows to each other, incredible flowers framing their arch and the girls bouquets from The Green Room Flower Company, the stunning outdoor vibe that is always present at a venue like The Lookout Lodge, and the dynamic team that are Charlotte and Bruno from Charlotte Kiri Photography capturing stunning images - every single detail was accounted for by the superstar couple.

Thank you so much Isabella and Sam for allowing me to help you seal the deal after such a stunning love story - hope you are loving every moment of your trip to Europe 🌟

It’s been a busy few weeks in the wedding industry as vendors navigate a new normal for the time being - what hasn’t changed is the smiles, laughs and memories created as we’ve helped couples celebrate their big day.

It blows me away as couples have found ways to make sure their day goes ahead with the majority of their Wishlist still
ticked - and if nothing else Co-vid has really highlighted what’s important when you are getting married.

So whether it’s just you two and a couple of witnesses (I can even supply those if you get stuck, good people I promise) to heli-weddings to a traditional large (okay under 100 for now) wedding - nothing is impossible.

Campbell and Grace ❤️

These two fabulous people knew exactly how they wanted their special day to be.

So on a Tuesday (love a weekday wedding) in Campbell’s parents stunning garden and surrounded by the people they love the most - they said I do.

So many little touches were added throughout the day that just created the most special of memories for them both.

Every wedding I do is special. Every couple has their story and it’s always a privilege to share that story with their guests - whether it’s 2 witnesses or 200 guests.
But when you know the couple you are marrying really well, it adds another layer to an already incredible day.

Mark and Anna are a couple who were just meant to be find each other and be together, and it was such an honour to help them make it (finally!) official after 14 years of crazy laughter, road trips and adventures and always following the road less travelled for these two fabulous people.

When a champagne spray goes slightly wild Post ceremony!

A short helicopter ride to the beautiful mountains of Queenstown was a perfect alternative for Annalise and Hamish who decided to alter their original wedding day plans thanks to a certain virus making it difficult for friends and family to travel to join them.

Having originally met over the controls of an Orion, it was an instant connection between these two. Best friends and completely in sync as a couple with a fun and adventurous future ahead - thanks again Annalise and Hamish for asking me to help you make it official.
