Pukekos! Your days are numbered......

I spent this afternoon replanting hundreds of Freesia bulbs/ shoots (in hopes to salvage) that have been pulled out of the ground by Pukekos, birds that I loved watching in our pond, cruising around the property, well! They have over stepped the mark and now its time to re-home....

So here is a little more about our new Imperfect Perfect range.

We have made a collection of lux pamper and home products that just give a little something special. And why not, we all work incredibly hard so we deserve to have a little bit of fun and beauty.

We have made our products Imperfect Perfect as it may not look perfect but the job that it is intended to do is perfect. I see so much in this world that every fruit, every flower, every structure has to look perfect but why? If that lemon still has juice and tastes like lemon then why does it need to look so "Perfect". Humans are not created perfect so let's take from that and stop looking for perfection and start taking things for what they are.

So here is one of our product show cases today, our soothing Therapeutic Bath Salt Soak
Our bath salt soak is fantastic for easing pain and inflammation of sore and tied muscles. It has also been widely known that the salts may heal cuts and reduce sorness from childbirth. We use Epsom and Himalayan salt which also aid in lowering stress, relaxing the body to aid in a better night sleep and is beneficial for the skin.

Lavender
It helps to cleanse and calm the emotions, relieving anger or exhaustion. Its balancing effect on central nervous system may be valuable in depressive states.
Helps calm palpitations; relieves insomnia, headaches and stress. Should relieve pain in muscular spasms: good for sprains. Helps respiratory complaints. Useful with menstrual problems.
Lavender promotes the growth of new cells and exerts a balancing action on sebum, thus useful for most skin conditions. Excellent for burns and sunburn. Useful for skin inflammation.

Well Hello There..... been a hot minute, hope you're all fine and dandy!
We're so so busy behind the scenes getting ready for our biggest 2 weeks of the year! MOTHERS DAY! and yes it does take that many days + to prepare for one of the biggest and best acknowledgements given.

What do Flower growers do in Autumn, Well they are thinking 2 seasons ahead and are prepping for Spring Time 🌱 today we are digging up last year's Freesia beds and replanting in the new plots. And yes they do have that beautiful Freesia smell you remember as a kid 🥰

If you've never seen these 2 items (pic 1) before, these are called Patience Teachers 😑
Now I've had my fair share of Patience learning over the years but these little things gave me the advance training lessons today, I could even go as far as saying that I have officially graduated Patience School!!

So I'll break it down, the metal thing is actually a "soil blocker" it's supposed to create these cute little blocks of soil that I will germinate my flower seeds in and then with ease, plant them out when ready, sounds fun, easy maybe, Well! getting that damn thing to conform was a little less then desirable, however after much...much trial and error, time wasting and deliberation we get something that'll suffice! So then we move on to his mate, the "seed sower" I was incredibly excited for this little contraption. Load it up with seeds and just tap away..... tap 1 seed per block..... the ladies on Instagram made it look easy.... well if any of those soil blocks don't have more than 1 seed in them right now I'll be 😲 they came shooting out of that thing like they were snowboarding down Mt Ruapehu 🏂 hopefully after the next 6000+ seeds I have to go, I'll have nailed the technique 🤞🏼🙈🙏🏼

Check out this Epic Collab last week with Coasting Kai Cart
This was a "Designer choice Gift box" and when I mentioned to the wonderful Whanau who was ordering this for their Daughters Birthday, that we collabed with Coasting Kai Cart they absolutely loved it and were excited for it!
Once delivered, I had sent pics to the person who ordered (as they lived out of town) they phoned me and thanked me and praised what an amazing job we did 🙌🏽🎉 it was the absolute best to receive that phone call 🥰🥰
There are so many perks to my job and I couldn't be more greatful for it!

Flower farming isn't always about picking beautiful flowers and arranging them for wonderful people to have in their homes, the non glamorous side of it is finding a box of Dahilas hidden in your shed that is a month to late from planting but you'll try it anyway because why not?
