Today we have Age Concern running their Safer Driving for Older People. They have had huge interest in this fabulous course.
They are running a Tea and Tech session here on the 31st July to help seniors navigate technology. More information soon.

Last week saw the end of this years collecting for the Love Grace Handbag Appeal New Zealand these are donated in Graces memory filled with essentials and something nice for those at Woman’s Refuge.

Coordinating and volunteering hours of work was our Local resident Geraldine.

At the Khandallah Town Hall we happily stored and offered a venue for sorting checking and labelling the bags, ready for their collection this week.
The generosity was amazing❤️

Have you noticed the new AED located in front of the Khandallah Town Hall?

We would like to thank the following people and businesses for their wonderful donations.

This AED is kindly donated by Julie Nevett and The Lloyd Morrison Foundation to support our region.

Bespoke builders for supplying and building the support for the AED.

Khandallah Business Association for sponsoring Signage.

Khandallah Cornerstone Community Centre for seeing the need and persisting in attaining it.

The AED outside Khandallah Town Hall is one of 300 Wellington Free Ambulance community public AED’s installed in the Greater Wellington & Wairarapa region.

Wellington Free Ambulance proudly offers free CPR training and maintains all their 24/7 public AED’s free of charge thanks to The Lloyd Morrison Foundation Heartbeat CPR training programme.

Early CPR combined with the use of an AED can give a person in cardiac arrest up to an 80% chance of survival. The more public AED’s available the more lives saved.

Time to start thinking about a new year of dancing at Khandallah Town Hall. Beginners' classes start on Monday 12 February, 7.30-9.30pm. Bring a friend. Wear soft, flat shoes, dress lightly for exercise and BYO water bottle. See you there.
