I love the Horowhenua as being here has helped me discover and learn about my culture and all things Te Ao Māori, under the guidance of both experienced kura and kapa haka kaiako. I have become a strong, resilient and proud rangatahi, who is looking forward to furthering my journey in Te Ao Māori in the Horowhenua.

The people in Horowhenua are so friendly and kind. The amount of support towards the Pasifika people here is awesome. I feel safer here than anywhere else. Since we moved here from the island of Tonga in 2019, the amount of love people showed us was insane. The support from the Fale Pasifika was awesome to see they really cared for everyone in the community. I love this town because it is small and quiet, making me feel safe to walk around in town.

I am currently the Student Board Of Trustees representative at Waiopehu College and part of the school student leadership team. I’m also one of the Pasifika leaders at Waiopehu College.

WHAKAPAPA is what makes Horowhenua special to Me…
Where ever I go I know I am HOME!

I also love being a part of a community where every second person is Whanau, even if they are not related by blood.

I enjoy being a Student at Horowhenua College and part of the Rangatahi Ora Rōpū.

I love playing Rugby and had the privilege of being the Captain of our Horowhenua 1st XV team. Also recently I had the privilege to Captain the Horowhenua-Kapiti Under 16 Boys Team.

My favourite pass time is attending one of the Local gyms in Levin.

I was born and raised in Australia up until 2020, however the Horowhenua is where my foundations and connections all begun with my Mum and Grandparents being locals to the Horowhenua.
