The Floret dahlias seedlings are growing well. Interestingly the few that had 3 cotyledons now have 2 sets of 3 true leaves and are a significantly paler colour than the others. They are also smaller - less photosynthesis? Anyone else with similar seedlings/experience? I would love to hear any thoughts on this. Be fascinating to see how they turn out. ….

Two bunches for a client today. I don’t usually wrap flowers but a special occassion - graduation - and I thought they may need a bit of protection.

Jeepers. Cant keep up today. Just putting more bunches at gate now.

Bunches at the gate this morning. Also can’t believe how the Snapdragons keep reblooming and loving the green Nicotiania - flowering Tobacco plant - planted late but gorgeous lime green and tall stems. Definitely a learning curve - will plant more of this in other colours too!

Today we harvested our delicious (dahlia flavoured) honey! It also happened to coincide with the first of our “Pooh” dahlias blooming. What a sweet day 🍯 . Did you know a key indicator for quality honey is if a goat approves it? And these ones definitely did 🐐 . . . . #goatsofinstagram #winniethepooh #honey #dahlia #honeyharvest

Quiet morning - no pandemonium but steady effort. 10 posies for a hen’s party, 8 bunches for @magentabloomsnz , 1 for a client and 3 for sale at the gate! Soaking up the colour.
