Oh no! After another successful day in the Naenae Village Market, one of our little green Ezy-roller bikes has gone into hiding somewhere - and not come home to its Safe house in Te Mako Naenae Community Centre. The other 3 bikes are missing it 🥺😔😢

Please, if you see it, tell it to go home to its Safe house at the Centre - or call 020 462 5666 so it can be safely picked up.

Kia ora e te whānau! This morning, te Mangungu is celebrating spring in Hillary Court and at Te Mako Naenae Community Centre. Lots of food, entertainment and activities. Naenae Village Market is also on at the same time. Lots happening!

Cảm ơn (thank you) again to the Vietnamese community for sharing your beautiful culture with us.

We loved having the Tết Trung Thu (Moon Festival), organised and led by Vinh Nguyen and Viet Hub NZ, at Te Mako on 21 September.

If you missed out on the festival, here is a video of the highlights, including the talented performers (such as the Múa Lân | Lion Dancers, dancers, singers, and musicians], the fun activities (such as the Bánh Trung Thu | moon cake interactive demonstration and latern making), Vietnamese crafts, and lots of amazing food.

We had some students from Naenae Primary School come visit the TEAM Naenae Knitting Natters group to meet the people who made and donated items they have been wearing. They saw knitting in action, the new items already made for donation to more kids like them, and then performed waiata and haka as a thank you. See you again next year!

The market is in full swing now, with MG Hangis and EmJayz food trucks in the 'hood.

Another Naenae Village Market getting setup and underway:
- cakes, cookies, treats
- rewena bread
- phat pillows - chocolate stuffed doughboys
- chop suey, potato salad
- otai, panikeke
-- and that's just so far

Opens from 9am until 1pm - and followed by the Trung Thu Vietnamese festival in Te Mako Naenae Community Centre until 5pm.

Come on down and meet your people.
